Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) appeared on Fox's First 100 Days Thursday evening after a closed door briefing earlier in the day by FBI director James Comey concerning the agency's investigation into claims of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The interview begins with host Martha MacCallum mentioning that Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who attended the same meeting, was "rattled" over the lack of information Comey gave concerning Russian involvement in the election.
Gowdy, on the other hand, seemed shocked at Schiff's apparent lack of enlightenment:

This whole stinking pile of contrived BS witchhunt would go away tomorrow if Comey walked out and said, it’s been investigated and there is nothing there, let it go. Trouble is Comey is compromised, he is a closet democrat I suspect and is dragging this out. He clearly let Clinton off with overwhelming evidence.
So now that the AG is out of the picture who tells Comey, you need to have a press conference about this asap???
You mean the new number two guy? His hearing is Tuesday? Is he reliable, as in honest?
The last thing we want is to compromise the possibility of a conviction of some worthy prospect--i.e. one whose deliberate sabotaging of America's interests has earned them what you wish for.

I do not understand how anyone can take Trey Gowdy's comments in any way that is not hopeful of a good result. A reckless rushing to the media can hopelessly compromise an investigation.

Sessions recused himself from Trump campaign investigations knowing there will be no DOJ Trump campaign investigations.

You continue to miss the essential points. Back off, if you cannot bother to acquaint yourself with what is happening, and the reasoning behind what is happening. LS has been fighting in the trenches for the President since the start of the Primary campaign—and weighing in where necessary to help keep others properly focused.
They’re now asking for Session’s resignation. He had no obligation to recuse himself. This is setting a bad precedent for these radical Dems like Schumer.
Yeah, I get it, LS wrote some books.
It’s okay for him to offer Trump advice, but if others do it, they’re being “Hysterical.” Kind off hypocritical isn’t it?
The Left and the enemedia pick like vultures on the new AG, he agreeably recuses himself, the Inquisitors find NOTHING in the FBI files or anywhere else, the case is closed, Trump is still in the catbird seat....and SESSIONS IS STILL THE ATTORNEY GENERAL!

The whole situation if firmly under control--control based upon an understanding of how things worked. LS, incidently, established credentials in the Trump campaign, based upon dedicated & intelligent support. Your crack suggesting he has been self-promoting in that is beneath contempt. He was on the firing line--and the fact that he had a reputation to put on the line, is certainly to his credit.

Perception based on lies is nothing. Get a grip. This is hardball and our team is winning.
Schiff is Clinton’s point man and he has put himself on the target by attempting to run disinfo in the press. The only perceptions he is affirming are those of the progs and Never Trumpers. As various investigations proceed, I’d not be surprised to see him distance himself from everything he is doing at the moment. He is uncomfortably aligned, if not implicated, with illegalities and sedition.
Given the disparity between Trey’s take and Schiff’s hand-wringing, I’d wager Comey tightened down on the ongoing investigations. I’ll bet Adam ran to Hillary with a precise rendition. Hope he was able to duck the flying ashtrays.
Prediction: Sessions is not resigning. He has the approval and support of his boss and the entirety of his behavior in the confirmation hearing was solid. He answered a hypothetical with a hypothetical. Take Trey’s advice and don’t base anything on MSM reports.

I would match them - one special prosecutor for Russian collusion with one special prosecutor for the Hillary email investigation or one special prosecutor for the Clinton foundation or one special prosecutor for the alleged DOJ slush fund where they diverted fine monies to leftists groups.
