Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) appeared on Fox's First 100 Days Thursday evening after a closed door briefing earlier in the day by FBI director James Comey concerning the agency's investigation into claims of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The interview begins with host Martha MacCallum mentioning that Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who attended the same meeting, was "rattled" over the lack of information Comey gave concerning Russian involvement in the election.
Gowdy, on the other hand, seemed shocked at Schiff's apparent lack of enlightenment:

"Trey Gowdy (R-SC) After FBI Director Comey Briefing: "Be Very Very Careful" Relying On NYT and Washington Post For Leaked News"
From the video:
Gowdy,
“I will tell you this - to the extent people are relying on media reports, whether it’s the New York Times or the Washington Post, upon which to base their factual assertions, I would tell them to be very very careful. I’m not gonna say any more than that, other than to say that the person leading the investigation on behalf of the Untied States government, the head of the FBI, listen to what he has to say - don’t listen to anonymous sources who leak classified information which, oh by the way, is also against the law.”
“Between Jim Comey and a reporter from the New York Times, give me Jim Comey.”
Sounds like the FBI has basically shredded the fake news stories to pieces.
Well, it was enough to make Sessions go wobbly and recuse himself, so it does appear to be working.
Like Rush just said, Trump had better get a handle on this sh*t or it’s going to get out of control very soon!
We already knew that Trey. Maybe you and your cohorts should be getting your briefings on FR.
1. Gowdy quickly mentions the DNC, then moves on real quickly.
2. This reminds me of what Rubio said after he came out of the meeting with the FBI a couple weeks ago. Same thing, something like [paraphrase] “maybe now the democrats will be give a non-partisan look into Russia collusion.”
3. I just heard on Rush Limbaugh, he said that the real story is the DNC collusion (Obama, et al) with Russia. That is where the story is.
Something is up between leaking, treason, Russia, and the democrats!
Shift was “rattled” over “lack” of information
One way to “get a handle” on all this is to release Obama’s personal background information immediately. Bannon will know how to do it the right way.
Don’t forget the Paki IT group... That story seems to be getting bigger in the shadows as nobody is paying attention.

He better do something!
I have a sick feeling we’re going to be getting Session’s resignation in the next week. He did nothing wrong! Why in G-d’s name would he recuse himself! Perception is everything!
“Well, it was enough to make Sessions go wobbly and recuse himself, so it does appear to be working.”
RELAX. Sessions knew that anything involving the campaign was going to be hard for him to oversee. This will, in the end, be a massive nothing burger.
They want a special prosecutor.... right?
I would match them - one special prosecutor for Russian collusion with one special prosecutor for the Hillary email investigation or one special prosecutor for the Clinton foundation or one special prosecutor for the alleged DOJ slush fund where they diverted fine monies to leftists groups.
I agree that Trump does need to get control of the leaks and the jackals who are savaging his team. However, in this case, from the various news coverage I saw last night on Lou Dobbs, Hannity and a few other shows, I took away that the rules of the department do clearly call for a recusal if there is the situation of being involved in a campaign, and if the campaign is under any kind of investigation, there should be a recusal. There actually is some question on the part of a former Attorney General (Mukasey)that there even is anything to investigate. There is not “there” there. He affirmed that Sessions did the right thing.
Nevertheless Sessions took the high road and followed the rules - and had been contemplating that move prior to the kerfuffle.
Having said that, it is bothersome that he granted that recusal before he could get his own number two man into place. Right now we have an Obama holdover in that slot.
Well, that link is very very interesting.
Thanks for pointing it out.
....Shift was rattled over lack of information....
Nothing new. Whenever there’s a lack of information, Democrats just get creative and make things up. They cannot comprehend that the USA simply rejected the Democrat Party, its plans for us, and it’s fatally flawed candidates for President and Vice President.
No! This investigation had nothing to do with any involvement from Session! Additionally, these FBI investigations are based on bogus “News” stories, with absolutely no proof!
He had no obligation to recuse himself!
Now that he has recused himself, he’s added credibility to these bogus stories! Good grief, talk about Dear in Headlights...did you see his presser? “I don’t recall...”
He should’ve never recused himself! The perception now is that he did something improper...even though he didn’t!
And still, nothing of substance from Trump on this.
Which tells you how stupid it was for Sessions to recuse himself. If he has an ounce of ethics left he will un-recuse himself unless he like his family.
The Foundation is being investigated by Preet Bahara in upstate NY under the RICO statute. Bahara is making a name for himself putting away crooked pols of every stripe.
Before the election, President Trump told Bahara he would want him to continue his investigation.
