It was the issue that swung the election for many of the 81 per cent of white evangelicals who voted for him.
Donald Trump's vow to pack the Supreme Court with conservative judges was crucial to his popularity with Christians who might otherwise be reluctant to support a man with such a dubious moral background.
Wayne Grudem, Franklin Graham, Eric Metaxas, Jerry Falwell and James Dobson all cited the court in justifying their support for Trump.

Rachel Maddow is an extreme longshot. More than that I cannot say.
“Chistian Today” sort of like RINO moniker
I have no idea who said it but I burst out laughing today.
Ted Cruz. Why? Because is so insufferable it will open up 8 more nominations for Trump.
I about peed my pants laughing.

Oh give it a rest.
“What Do They Believe?”
(If they believe THIS, America will be just fine!)
I Believe in Love
Don Williams
I don’t believe in superstars
Organic food and foreign cars
I don’t believe the price of gold
The certainty of growing old
That right is right and left is wrong
That north and south can’t get along
That east is east and west is west
And bein’ first is always best.
But I believe in love
I believe in babies
I believe in mom and dad
And I believe in you.
Well, I don’t believe that heaven waits
For only those who congregate
I’d like to think of G-d as love
He’s down below
He’s up above
He’s watchin’ people everywhere
He knows who does and doesn’t care
And I’m an ordinary man
Sometimes I wonder who I am.
But I believe in love
I believe in music
I believe in magic
And I believe in you.
I know with all my certainty
What’s goin’ on with you and me
Is a good thing
It’s true
I believe in you.
I don’t believe virginity
Is as common as it used be
In workin’ days and sleepin’ nights
That black is black and white is white
That Superman and Robinhood
Are still alive in Hollywood
That gasoline’s in short supply
The risin’ cost of gettin’ by
But I believe in love
I believe in old folks
I believe in children
I believe in you.
I believe in love
I believe in babies
I believe in mom and dad
And I believe in you.
I hear Neil Gorsuch is the front-runner.

I watch maga-trump’s tweets a lot because he’s a GOP insider/lawyer/vote counter (with atrocious spelling and tons of profanity!!). He was floating Gorsuch’s name but he said Gorsuch talks like a lawyer and so he thinks President Trump won’t like him. Maga_trump says Judge Diane Sykes is coming to interview with the President this weekend.
They are going to nominate 2 judges, as per Sean Spicer this morning. I wonder if Ginsberg is going to resign? Maga_trump says Diane Sykes would be perfect to replace her, especially after the women’s march the other day.
Maga-trump says the SCOTUS nominees are going to be announced deliberately on the morning of the WH Prayer Breakfast, pointing to at least one Christian pro-life SCOTUS candidate that will bring cheers.
My guesses - I have absolutely no inside info - is Gorsuch and Sykes...
Wonder what became of Pryor?
Trumps reported top picks Neil Gorsuch, Thomas Hardiman and Bill Pryor are all federal appeals court judges appointed by George W Bush, with strong conservative credentials.
.
Pryor has no ‘consevative’ creds.
Maga_trump, I think, leans to Pryor, but keeps bringing up Gorsuch so, makes me wonder what he’s hearing. Pryor, Hardiman, Gorsuch, and Sykes seem to be still in the mix.
My guess is if there are two vacancies, the second is Kennedy.
I think Ruthy would go first!!!
Two or three justices will step down or retire in the 8 years.
Trump has a good chance of establishing a solid conservative majority on the SCOTUS for a generation.
I think that’s possible if the GOP can pick up 7 Senate seats in 2018.
Do you have a source for Spicer saying there will be two nominees?
I hope it’s RBG not Kennedy myself. I’m puzzled as to why nominate 2 judges, if a SCOTUS judge hasn’t resigned (or is there a resignation we don’t know about?). That would make a bench of 10, which is totally legal, but not better than the current SCOTUS which is deadlocking a lot since Scalia passed on. Wouldn’t it be better to have 9? Or is the strategy to nominate 2 but expect only 1 to pass?
I was just checking up on Judge Hardiman. He’s on the same bench as President Trump’s sister. He’s congenial, not from elite schools and once worked as a taxi driver. Some say all this gives him an advantage over Gorsuch. Interesting line of thought.
But what makes you think two?
Tom Hardiman works in the Third Circuit with POTUS45’s sister Judge Maryanne Trump Barry. I know she thinks highly of him and that POTUS45 seems to put a lot of faith in what his family thinks. Due to this, I think he may have the inside track.
