Kristol: It’s profoundly depressing and vulgar to hear an American president proclaim America first
Biz PAC Review ^ | 01/21/17 | Scott Morefield

The Chinese put China first. The Russians put Russia first. Israelis believe in Israel first.

So, what’s wrong with Americans seeking to put our country before a faceless, vacuous globalism that has eaten away at our manufacturing base, taken the lives of our best and brightest overseas, and threatened our standard of living for decades?

According to neoconservatives like Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, apparently a lot.

Kristol let out a tweetstorm before and during Donald Trump’s “America First” themed inauguration speech Friday, highlighted by this gem:

"I'll be unembarrassedly old-fashioned here: It is profoundly depressing and vulgar to hear an American president proclaim "America First.""

“Depressing and vulgar…” Wow! In a prime example a true globalist’s gloves coming off, Kristol and his neoconservative ilk can’t help but expose themselves for the anti-American hucksters they are.

In a classic example of the strawman fallacy, they like to link the movement to put our people first, just as every other nation does, to the often pro-Nazi “America First” movement that existed prior to World War II. But Trump is having none of it.

“Kristol: It’s profoundly depressing and vulgar”
That sounds like fag talk.

Kristol would never define himself as Conservative. He’s a NeoCon, who are self-identified as Democrats who left the party because the party was insufficiently warlike.

There are many great things about Trumps campaign and victory. One of them is that people like Kristol, along with Will and others were outed for what they really are, and that isn’t conservative.

I’ll 2nd that, to not believe we should be protecting American interests first is absolutely stupid. I have always expected this from our elected officials, and maybe now wIll finally experience it.

Bill Kristol should hang his head in shame and shut his mouth.

National Review will be broke in a year if they keep up this NeverTrump nonsense.

Carpmouth Kristol represents everything wrong with the so-called conservative establishment.

I don't think Kristol is part of the traditional conservative establishment anymore...

He's a neo-con and always has been which means he was a fake conservative.

Neo-cons are former democrats who left the party because the democrats party became pacifists...

In his heart and policies he is a war monger liberal who found a home in the GOP.

This election has ripped the facade off of the neo-cons con game pretending to be conservatives.

It wasn’t too long ago that many people on FR decried the phrase “America First” when used by Pat Buchanan as some sort of Hitlerian nightmare. Funny how a few decades of living under Bush/Obama globalism has clarified their thinking.

So glad I gave up on Kristol years ago. He is not conservative by any stretch of the imagination.

Depressing and vulgar??

Its vulgar to hear a president out America first?

But not vulgar for Madonna to drop F bombs when giving a speech at the liberal women’s march???

Which is truly profane, Trump or Madonna??

GLOBALISTS thought AMERICA would surrender its sovereignty, but FREEDOM overcame them.

Trump has a penchant for reviving sometimes disparaged slogans from American political history. Law and order is another.

No it's not.
It means American negotiators sit on the American side of the table and work for the best deal for America.
The other side work as hard as they can for their side. That's expected and OK.
If they together come up with a deal that's good for both sides, that is what we call win-win.
Never again should American negotiators work for the best possible deal for the enemy, like Kerry did for Iran.

How dare a U.S. President acknowledge where his first loyalty should be.

No wonder Kristol was so thrilled with Obambi.
