If … BIG IF … all this globalism was working for ordinary people, Kristol might have a point. But, Kristol is either unaware or doesn’t care that this hasn’t been working for ordinary people for about two decades. Not during the George W. Bush administration nor during the Obama administration.
You know what Bill Kiisol, when you take the food off your family table day after day and give it to the homeless while your own family starves, then I’ll listen to what you have to say. Until then I’m not interested in a thing you think or say.

If our government is not to put us first, what downgraded level of importance do cretins like Kristof suggest? Same with the leftists who are claiming it is fascist like. Just where in the pecking order are we the people in their warped world of government?

Marxism, socialism, communism, progressivism are the various globalist programs designed to control the people. After tens of millions are killed by government, they have to change the name, brand and marketing of their programs.
Earlier in history, we had the feudal system and the the divine right of kings running the serfs and peasants.
There really isn’t a large popular constituency for globalists because so few people benefit. Their constituency is essentially similar to the king, nobles (Knights) high clergy and court. The globalists have the kings (Soros, Rockefellars, Rothschild etc), nobles (politicians, globalist military), clergy (teachers, education), and court (bureaucrats). So that would be about 15- 20% of the population?
The nationalists are those that are awake; they are those that have been deprogrammed or never programmed to the leftist ideology. The Bernie people are still under the spell of leftist indoctrination from the globalists.
This is the same Kristol who went to a French TV entertainment show telling how the French were Saddam Hussein surrender monkeys and the UN was ineffective...

Of course the NWO is depressed. Trumps inauguration speech was basically telling them that the American people are back in control of their country and that globalists will no longer be tolerated around these parts!
With these histrionics, I lost all respect for Bill Kristol.
Most of the handed over powers, other than in Foreign Policy, should have gone the other direction- back to the States. Wishing it all for the Executive is kind of the opposite of Conservative and Constitutional and all that.
I don’t care what Kristol thinks or says.
I’d rather watch paint dry.

Is Bill still selfishly hoarding his wealth or has he graciously put Central American illegals first and handed his money over to them?
Does he still have a nice home appropriate for a man of his wealth and position or has he converted it into a home for unwed single mothers from Somalia?
Do Bill and his wife still sleep in their comfortable master bedroom or have they put others first and turned it over to some of Obama’s newly arrived 38 year old muslim “Dreamers”?
