The United States on Thursday expelled 35 Russian diplomats and closed two Russian compounds in New York and Maryland in response to a campaign of harassment by Russia against American diplomats in Moscow, a senior U.S. official said on Thursday.
The U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters the Russian diplomats would be given 72 hours to leave the United States. Access to the two compounds will be denied to all Russian officials as of noon on Friday, the official added.
"These actions were taken to respond to Russian harassment of American diplomats and actions by the diplomats that we have assessed to be not consistent with diplomatic practice," the official told Reuters.

I believe there were Russian hacking operations going on. I believe Putin preferred Trump. I don’t believe he swung the election. Nonetheless, I believe it’s not a good precedent for a hostile foreign power to hack US networks, especially for political reasons. I agree that some of what was hacked was embarrassing to Democrats because they were exposed for liars and frauds.

Russian diplomats go home for a two week vacation—then can return when Trump is President. They should let Anna Chapman back (didn’t she try to marry Snodden? That would make her a citizen?) Israel should give back the Russian Hotel (built back in the day by the Czar) in Jerusalem. Anna is a Journalist now—Trump ought to give her an interview in Trump Tower.

if he reopens them he may well send a message to diplomats and the public he doesn’t care if they are harassed while on assignment and doesn’t believe the intelligence agencies that say Russia was behind it, which includes the FBI as reported by all major news outlets .
if he doesn’t reopen them he is admitting he was wrong about it or didn’t know what was going on.
