DC private schools giving Kellyanne Conway the brush-off
NY Post ^ | December 28, 2016 | Richard Johnson

Kellyanne Conway is worried establishment elites in Washington, DC, are so prejudiced against President-elect Donald Trump that she won’t be able to get her kids into private school in the nation’s capital.

Conway divulged her fears to other parents at the Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood, NJ, on Thursday night, when her twins, George and Claudia, performed a concert with other students. Alicia Keys was also there to hear her goddaughter perform.

Conway, who was Trump’s campaign manager, is moving to DC to be counselor to the president. Her husband, George, happens to be the lawyer who wrote the Supreme Court brief when Paula Jones sued Bill Clinton for sexual harassment.

The mother of four had experienced some good-natured razzing from the left-leaning parents at Elisabeth Morrow.

“But after the concert, all the parents converged on Kellyanne, congratulating and sucking up to her,” said one source. “Kellyanne is asking everyone with connections to DC schools for help.”

The snottiness of DC elites is at a whole nother level. Such has never existed outside of Royal Courts under monarchies.

I'm so glad I live in Texas. We have a few snotty enclaves, but they're outnumbered by all of the band parents I've met over the years.

Montgomery and Fairfax counties have excellent public school systems as well. These are very high income counties, full of high-achieving kids of high-achieving parents. Not every school is uniformly great, but the systems are pretty solid overall and have enough centers of excellence that most parents can find the right niche. These counties are also well served by very well regarded private schools.

There are some other communities in the DC metro area in which the public schools are struggling. This probably correlates with something, but I can't quite put my finger on it at the moments ....

Picking the right neighborhood in which to live is important, as it is in many other cities. School choice could change this fairly rapidly (5-10 years). I hope Betsy DeVos is successful.

Median per-household income in the U.S. is around $52,000/year.

It’s probably hard to find private schools in the DC area that are not filled with liberal snot students and propagandists posing as teachers.

Alicia Keys was also there to hear her goddaughter perform.

Confusing sentence. Okay, evidently, one of Conway’s twins is a girl, so is this Keys woman godmother to the female twin. Is Keys someone in Trump’s inner circle, too?

I would bet there are a lot of fine Christian schools in the DC metro area.

Alicia Keys is a musical performer of some note, pun intended. I think the article means that her goddaughter, unconnected to the Conway family, is a student at the same school.

A classroom was created on the third floor of the WH for Caroline.

I did not know that. You can't get a much better precedent than JFK to shut up the maniacs. Didn't Jimmie Carter try to send Amy to DC public schools and it didn't work out?

Keep in mind Barron might be completing his school year where he is. It will be interesting to see what the solution is. I think if I were in their situation, I'd have the kids stay where they are, with a great support staff and parents getting back as often as possible.

A lot of DC pols do that, so there's precedent.

not all schools can handle the security aspects involved with such high level attendees.

There’s absolutely nothing in the article to support the headline.

Ahhh, that's only a small part of NJ. Hardly representative. Most of NJ is more along these lines:
Real Jersey

Barron is Trump’s child, not Kellyanne’s.

The DC school infrastructure has gone 8 years without change or transition, they don’t even know the meaning of the word, yet.... mwuhahaha

We should be tracking the homes-for-sale as an index of which liberals are being forced out of the city and where. I see lots of ‘No, now YOU’RE going to bake the damned cake’ opportunities.

More proof that the leftwing, America-hating bigots are running our “schools”. Brainwashing and indoctrinating our kids. It might be time for conservative and Christian Americans to build a school in D.C. where their normal American kids can go to learn.

Don’t believe it. Read the article and compare it to the headline. The headline is clickbait. The story therein is speculation.

Think of the resource people Both of the Gingrich s. (Karen Pence is a licensed experienced teacher. )
Plenty of museums and national monuments to use as jump off points for history and science lessons. (Writing stimulants).
Math is easily taken care of by computer. Music and art history easily taught with visits to actual paintings and events
Even if not in WH plenty of places a one room base could be located.
