I'm so glad I live in Texas. We have a few snotty enclaves, but they're outnumbered by all of the band parents I've met over the years.
Go, TX. Go, conservative schools. Go, band parents. Too many parents forget they own the schools or are too lazy to bother. That's the reason our school system has gone leftist and bottomed out.

When I get to around Hagerstown, Maryland on the drive home, and once again see closed businesses and boarded-up buildings I know I’m back in the real world.
