DALLAS -- The Republican elector who has gotten national attention for refusing to vote for Donald Trump at the Electoral College on Dec. 19 was apparently not a first responder on September 11, 2001 as he has stated for years and has a questionable career history, according to an investigation by WFAA.
Chris Suprun, 42, portrays himself as a heroic firefighter who was among the first on the scene after the third plane flew into the Pentagon on 9/11.
In a heavily-publicized editorial this month for the New York Times, Suprun stated that as a member of the Electoral College he will not cast his ballot for Trump because the president-elect shows daily he is not qualified for the office.
Suprun, a Dallas resident for more than a decade, even used his résumé to establish credibility in the Times piece, writing in the second paragraph: "Fifteen years ago, as a firefighter, I was part of the response to the Sept. 11 attacks against our nation."
He has founded a nonprofit called Never Forget and state records show he is a licensed paramedic -- but much of the rest of résumé, publicly available on LinkedIn, is questionable.
In addition, on at least two occasions over the last couple years at crowded Major League Baseball games, Suprun has been introduced as a 9/11 veteran before throwing out first pitches.

No surprise here. The state that gave us presidents like Lyndon Johnson and George W. Bush gives us this fraud for an elector.
“”Fifteen years ago, as a firefighter, I was part of the response to the Sept. 11 attacks against our nation.”
****
Brian Williams from NBC used to say this.
I hope this hack was paid very well by Soros.
He will be hounded until the end of time for committing fraud
against the voters of Texas.
Why Texas did not replace him, is beyond me.
Something is rotten with the system in Texas.
Don’t forget that fake conservative, Ted Cruz the Canadian
Texas is turning into New Jersey
All hat, no cattle down there
Somebody deserves an ass-beatin’, not that I’m advocating violence or anything. Just deserves it.
Suprun is a common, everyday conman. Nothing more.
Don't forget also the state that gave us Norma McCorvey, who's fraudulent case and testimony as Jane Roe brought our nation the case known as Roe v. Wade.
Suprun is a northeast transplant.
I guess you would have preferred an Al Gore presidency.
And no $1000 "fine", either.
This faithless elector crap needs to be severely punished, with mandatory prison time.
It has to be nipped in the bud, NOW or it will spread like cancer, until the EC is scrapped.
Glen Beck was an Elector?
“Texas is turning into New Jersey. All hat, no cattle down there.”
Texas is as big, and more diverse, than most countries. It’s also Target Number One by the left, because of its decidedly patriotic, conservative leaning. As such, there’s going to be political mischief here.
Don’t blame good Texans for the vermin we’re forced to endure.
I think a black eye would improve Suprun’s looks, don’t you?
This faithless elector crap needs to be severely punished, with mandatory prison time.

What Texas and the Texas State GOP need to do is change the criteria and make the electors bound
to the state winner. Currently they aren’t bound thus you get this type action. A second one
didn’t vote for Trump today either. I’m not sure at this point which one it was.
This process is a state by state process. I think there are 23 states plus DC that have bound
electors the others don’t. Scroll down on the article you you’ll a state by state listing of
bound/unbound electors.

What is this - the ‘hate on Texas’ thread?
I think y’all are better than this.
Bush gave us Obama, FWIW.
Such a loser.
I’ve heard he was on the AshleyMadison.com site while his wife was working to support him and their two children.
Texas does not have a require policy. In other words sadly there is no fine for this POS to not vote the will of the people of Texas
BTW I expect that to change here
I hope this guy has already packed all his stuff and is currently heading out of Texas in his UHaul truck never to be seen within two states of Texas.
