One of Michigans 16 electors who will be called upon to cast a vote validating the election of Donald Trump in the Electoral College has testified on video that he and others in the state are receiving dozens and dozens of death threats from Hillary Clinton supporters urging them to switch his vote to Clinton.

The Detroit News verified one message containing a death wish and another containing a death threat, in which the person told Banerian he would put a bullet in his mouth. Banerian said he deleted the rest of the emails and messages because as you can imagine theyre clogging up my email.
An online petition on Change.org signed by more than 4.3 million people is calling on the nations 538 electors to vote for Clinton instead of Trump.

IS THE FBI giving protection to ALL those threatened and their families!?
I dont care about the cost. These are some of the most important people in the country right now.
If the results of the election are changed because of this, we haven’t seen such an uproar since the 1770’s....
Liberals are the ones filled with hatred.
This is the ultimate voter intimidation. Many liberals are just plain thugs. No other way to describe it. The Democrat Party will sink to absolutely any level to “win.” This is an attempted coup d’etat and we won’t stand for it.
They won’t be, but God Forbid they were, I personally would skip the non violent protests and go straight to the second part.
SorozNazi or someone is trying to provoke major civil war in the streets of USA. I doubt he’ll succeed at it, but he’s sure barking up the tree of big- time trouble/ violence. I didn’t realize how vulnerable O has left us after eight years of his sedition and evil propaganda against our country and our system of governance Mr Trump — and all of us — really have a lot of repair work to do !
I don’t think they will either...
No. Like I said in the last post, non violent protests wont even be on the menu.
It WONT happen, but God forbid it did, straight to armed insurrection.
Republican men in those states should voluntarily donate even 2 hours a day to protecting them and their families.
Where’s the militias? They’ve got to be pro Trump.
Of course, ANY of these actions would make the government offer protection, but not before. Pieces of trash.
Sure.
Death threats are a great way to get someone to change their minds.
And these are the people who want so badly to rule over us and preach to us about *tolerance*.
Well 84 percent of the people accept the results, which isn’t far from most numbers after an election.
14 percent can cause a lot of trouble unless crushed when they use violence.
Love Trumps Hate
Pray America woke
Such threats are a violation of federal law against the intimidation of government officials, and of voters.
The FBI should be on the case immediately, and those responsible should be prosecuted.
(OK, I’m dreaming that we are a nation of laws and not a banana republic.)
Indeed
Is this the high road?
A bullet to the mouth? How?
I thought these were the same people who wanted gun-free zones, semi-auto confiscation and registration of all gun owners.
Wouldn’t they be the first to turn in their firearms, if they even had any?
That is about what I was thinking too.
Indeed they are. May God protect them.
They should be moved an undisclosed location.
And I am not joking.
change.org is a joke. Nothing but a pacifier to let whiners vent.
But if the FBI can match specific threats with specific people they have a duty to investigate and arrest. Nip that sh*t in the bud and send a message that the tantrums will not be tolerated, nor the threats of violence gone unpunished.
I do think the FBI will end up investigating and prosecuting. I did see a show where a woman trashed the car of an FBI agent and ended up getting fifteen years and I do believe it is a capital crime to try to kill a federal agent. The voters of the Electoral College (I think) are Federal workers and as such, the FBI will get in on this for good.
