NEW YORK CITY, New York — The Old Dominion is back on the chessboard as the final week of the campaign begins with a new poll from Boston’s Emerson College showing Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton’s lead there has nearly evaporated.

Clinton is only ahead of her Republican opponent Donald J. Trump by four percentage points—just outside the 3.4 percent margin of error—in Virginia. This is the state’s first survey taken since FBI director James Comey announced he was reopening the criminal investigation into Clinton’s illicit home-brew email server that she set up in violation of State Department guidelines.

The poll of 800 likely voters found Clinton at 49 percent compared to Trump’s 45 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson pulled three percent and the Green Party’s Jill Stein pulled one percent. The survey was conducted from Friday Oct. 28 through Sunday Oct. 30.

Kaine has no pull whatsoever where I live. My county had a lot of Obama posters, but I haven’t seen a SINGLE’Hillary / Kaine’ poster.

If my state ‘votes’ for Hillary, it will be because of the million ballots our Clintonista governor has ready for felons to use.

If you apply NM Ds voting Trump/Rs voting Cankles numbers (20-13) you have a +7 advantage among Ds, so figure in VA this amounts to something like a 2% additional gain.

Real poll now is under 2, not counting indies or turnout.

800 respondents for a state poll is reasonable. They use 2,000 or less for national polls in some cases.

It looks like after a couple of percent of D voter fraud VA could be a late call—after midnight.

Presumably the governor’s plan is to keep counting until he wins.

Hopefully it won’t matter at that point.

Saw where the black vote is waaaay down & in Virginia, too - I have my fingers crossed because there may be hope. I want to see Trump win VA & at the same time, see the odious T-McAwful FAIL at his Clintonista mission (should make him EAT those 200,000 provisional voter fraud ballots he’s printed up). It will be a great day when Omuslim is out of the WH & carpetbagger McAwful is out of the VA Governor’s Mansion. It will be an even GREATER day if it’s Trump in the WH.
