NEW YORK, NY Today the Donald J. Trump Campaign for President announced historic totals from Septembers fundraising efforts. The $100 million haul (inclusive of TMAGA/Trump Victory) came mostly from small donors and includes a monthly $2 million dollar contribution from Mr. Trump.
Mr. Trumps contribution more than covered the costs of any reimbursements to him (or his related entities) for his plane and office rent; which the law mandates to be reimbursed. He has contributed an unprecedented amount to his campaign. This brings total raised to date (inclusive of his contributions) to 360 million dollars.
The Campaign and both Joint Fundraising Committees finished the month with very strong cash positions on hand, totaling approximately $75 million.
Since the campaign started, 2.6 million people have contributed to the campaign (a 24% increase from the previous month). This is an unprecedented number historically for any Republican candidate.
These numbers show that Donald Trump continues to have incredible broad based support from across America. We want to thank our many volunteers and contributors that are clearly committed to electing Donald J. Trump as President in November, said Steven Mnuchin, Donald J. Trump for President Finance Chairman.
At least one of those small donations was mine. I’ve logged two more since the beginning of October. Pretty sure I’ll get a couple more in by month’s end.
Sounds like a lot,but Hillary has taken in 10x that and spent a lot on the nuts and bolts of campaigns as well as some very good targeted TV ads.
It would be difficult to spend the money for Trump in the brief time available because the ad space may not be available if Hillary bought it all up and the production of ads and other traditional nuts and bolts takes time.
Those are English words, but I swear, I can’t make heads or tails of what that says.
I think I need an Internetese to English translator.
I’m a proudly contributing ‘deplorable redneck’
“The Clintons, OTOH, have no shame when it comes to asking for money i.e. bribes from big players, regardless of how much moola theyve already laundered.”
Recall in the last debate, Trump told Hillary that he’d invested tens of millions of his own money in his campaign, then asked her, “Why haven’t you put any of your own money into your campaign?”
Zing!
Hey, I'm with you. But good writing used to be the province of the NY Times, Washington Post [well, not so much, perhaps], the New Yorker, and back in H.L. Mencken's day, the Baltimore Sun or perhaps W.F. Buckley's National Review. They are now so over-the top liberal rags, turned into trashy scandal rags that there is nowhere to go. So you go to Twitter to find out what is going on. It's not, in fact, English, but eventually you get used to it.
“...the ad space may not be available if Hillary bought it all up...”
If that’s the case, then Trump should go around the media, and go directly to the public via YouTube. I would suggest that he put out spots that are more like ‘talks’, and not traditional campaign commercials.
He needs to be filmed in a comfortable setting, speaking directly to the camera about his plans, policies, goals, etc.
I’d like to see him do one of these for each one of the policy papers he’s released. He should do others for breaking events that are impacting the race.
I think videos like these would get tens of millions of hits, and would reach people that can’t be reached through the mainstream media.
“It’s not, in fact, English, but eventually you get used to it.”
Yes. I speak (and comprehend) just enough Internetese to be dangerous ;-)
He’s running new commercials here in Vegas...all positive
lol
Ours, too.
He’s smart enough to figure it out, I’m sure.
He was starting with a serious disadvantage, ad-buy-wise, unfortunately. Networks hate him; he had to deal with the primaries; and Hillary only had a rigged primary that wasn’t difficult at all, letting her people get everything set up already.
Maybe Ross Perot type TV spots?
Well, aside from the daily bimbo distraction in his speeches, I wonder if it was smart to let all the traditional nuts and bolts of campaigns—including fund raising, a ground game with paid staff and volunteers, etc, go by the boards while counting on twitter to get you elected.
If he’s now at a disadvantage, it’s because that’s the path he chose.
If he wins, he’s a new political genius. If he loses, America goes by the boards into socialist hell. That’s a bold gamble by one man against the fate of the country.
Thing is that he HAS a ground game; I’m part of it and it’s pretty good even in this non-battleground state.
And Twitter itself is a pretty small investment in time and money to get the news out past the networks.
Unfortunately, as I said, Clinton and the networks had rigged the TV ads from the start; she’s been preparing this since at least 2008.
I have been assured by the Trump campaign that money donated to the campaign stays with the campaign. I called and asked.
I receive regular emails from various politicians (Gowdy comes to mind) asking for money. But close examination of the bottom of the email shows it is paid for by the NRC. Those emails go into the trash.
It says a lot that Donald is donating $2,000,000 of his money to his campaign each month. He's truly putting his money where his mouth is. I wonder how much personal money Killary is donating to her campaign each month?
It is illegal for the networks to deny one side.
no, we need the guillotine
Lois Lerner et al committed crimes against the Republic that require her death
Hillary and her cohorts in corruption are still out there as well
None of it is being wasted in central Indiana!
The only races here are Governor and Senator.
But the RNC has no pennies for Trump commercials.
