Hillary Clinton has been declared the winner of the most watched debate ever by the bulk of the media, but they may be once again demonstrating their failure to understand what makes Donald Trump voters tick and why his fans think he came out on top, according to political analysts.
Clinton and Trump are talking to two very different countries, and political analysts and reporters are generally in the country Clinton, not Trump, inhabits. wrote Larry Sabato, the author of Sabatos Crystal Ball and a political science professor at the University of Virginia.
Sabato, elaborating in comments to the Herald, pointed to a startling divide between college-educated and non-college-educated voters. Clinton leads with white college grads a first for a Democrat in modern times, said Sabato. Yet Trump has an enormous majority among blue-collar workers, particularly men, he added....

She makes money selling state secrets and government favors.
However in what matters to ordinary Americans, Trump addressed those issues. Though DT suffered lost opportunities to destroy Hillary, I feel he did well as not to come across as spiteful or vile.
Trump needs to take advantage of lessons learned going forward and simply stay on message.
The problem they refuse to see is right in front of them. It ain’t about Trump. It never has been.
An objective observer would wonder how they missed that after successfully foisting 0bama on us.
Alan, agree. You wonder why Trump didn’t take advantage of some openers to attack Clinton.
But I think he was wisely coached to back off a bit. The media has been portraying Trump as an mean ogre. So he had to show his presidential side. Showing too much attack dog might have backfired.
Anyway, there are two more debates, plenty of time to get to the Hillary corruption issues.

Of course it would have backfired, and BIG TIME!! People here and elsewhere need to understand the difference between strategic and tactical planning.
I call bullshit!
Oh, and has this idiot Sabato ever been right about anything?
She was a total bitch Monday night. That was all she showed. Hard to see how even her supporters couldn’t pick that up.
She needs 93% or the black vote to win. She’ll be lucky to get 75%.
My first impression of the debate was that Hillary won on points, but that Donald Trump didn't do anything to ruin his Presidency.
What we've found out is that Hillary was fed questions and that Lester Holt was more intent on getting invited back to summers in the Hamptons rather than that Racist, Sexist, Homophobic "Journalist Integrity". We saw that Donald Trump actually took the fight to Hillary (Jeb would've been curled up in a fetal ball whimpering).
for the next two debates, Trump is only going to get better. I'm sure he'll see where he could've done better (mentioning Benghazi, the women Hillary has destroyed, and further attacking her lack of stamina).
Scott Adams may be right. He predicted Trump winning 65-35.
Approximately 5 million votes in online polls Trump averaging 70% just 11% trust her and 34% think she is healthy enough to be president and the media tells us she won and will win in November?
The fact is, Clinton drew fewer than 400 people at a rally, the day after her “big win.” Trump drew about 25,000 the day after his “big loss.” I’m sure the media are going to be all over the vast difference in rallies. My bet is that Trump’s two rallies today, in Iowa and Wisconsin, are also going to be larger than usual, and all his rallies from here on out will continue to grow.
That should cause a surge in her support. Unless someone reminds them that only white people can be racists.

Yes, I agree the debate was so unfairly moderated against Trump. And he should call it out to the American people directly.
And actually, I think he should simply IGNORE all questions the moderator asks and say what he wants to.
TRUMP: “First, before answering your biased questions, I’m going to address the items I feel are more important that the American people should know.” Then he simply doesn’t finish what he’s saying in time to answer the moderator’s question.
That would be true Trump flippant attitude.
