The father of the man suspected in multiple bombings throughout New York and New Jersey this weekend says he reported his son to the FBI as a potential terrorist. Officials have confirmed that Mohammed Rahami reported his son Ahmed Khan Rahami in 2014, but law enforcement took little action following the alert.
“I called the FBI two years ago!” the elder Rahami told a swarm of reporters surrounding him in front of his family’s restaurant, First American Fried Chicken in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The New York Post notes that Mohammed Rahami also made several statements that were difficult to follow, such as “I have a connection with this guy” without referencing anyone in particular and asserting he did not think his son was a terrorist.

While officials say early signs indicate a lone wolf attack, the behavior of the suspected terrorist’s family members in the days leading up to the attacks suggest he may have told relatives of the plot. In fact, both Rahami’s mother and Pakistani-born wife left for the Middle East just days before the bombings in Seaside Park, New Jersey and New York City, and the foiled plot in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
"FBI agents arrested five men who may be connected to Saturday’s bombing in Chelsea after stopping their car in Brooklyn, sources said.
The men were heading over the Verrazano Bridge from Staten Island when they were stopped Sunday night. Sources said the FBI suspected the men may have had a role in the bombing and were questioning them at the FBI headquarters in Manhattan.
It is believed the men, who live in New Jersey, were heading to the airport when they were busted.

The FBI no admits that he did call them and that the son was on some investigative list, but no action was taken.

The father didn’t call the FBI (according to the NYT) he told the cops after his son stabbed another son. When contacted by the FBI the father recanted and said he was just angry.
None of this is believable. The father is acting as the typical terrorist-father-in-America, which is, run out and get the media before the truth can be found. And blame American authorities.
Don’t fall for any of it.
