Something strange is going on in Ohio. There don't seem to be any bumper stickers. I drive almost 100 miles a day on a major four-lane highway in northern Ohio. In the last two weeks, I saw one Trump bumper sticker in the parking lot of a grocery store, one Trump window-cling on a pickup truck on the highway, and one "I heart Hillary" bumper sticker at a rest stop. That's it. Four years ago, in August 2012, Romney and Obama bumper stickers were plentiful. It's a similar story with yard signs. A handful of Trump signs sprouted up during the primary rarely more than one or two per small town, and often none at all. I have yet to see a Hillary sign. Last week, as the media piled on Trump following the Democrat convention, I'd had enough, and I pasted a "Trump, Make America Great Again" and a "Never Hillary" bumper sticker (from the Rush Limbaugh website) on my 2002 SUV. Maybe I was also inspired by a classic rock station that reminded this elderly boomer of how it felt to be "Born to Be Wild." My 18-year-old self would have been contemptuous of giving in to fear. I hadn't really been worried about getting my car vandalized, but I was worried about social ostracism by the Democrats in my neighborhood. p>

Howie Carr’s poll on Monday was Are you afraid to show your support for Trump. 63% Yes.
Candidates used to give signs and bumper stickers away. Now they sell them. Plus, people don’t know where to buy them.
You want your car vandalized by a person who hates Trump. No more bumper stickers. You don’t see Hillary either.
In my travels I have seen two yard signs for Trump and two bumper stickers.
But I’ve seen about the same amount for the Life Alert candidate.
In Massachusetts.
On a recent 800 miles trip in Texas, we saw two Bernie bumper stickers, two Trump, and one for Hillary. The bumper sticker companies in China must be wondering if we are having an election this year.
The only current sticker I saw yesterday while walking through a large parking lot was one for Gary Johnson. I’ve seen a few for Hillary around the homosexual neighborhood.
Would also make the vehicle prime target for the tribe.
I don’t have the time to ‘defend’ a yard sign all hours of the night nor fool with the insurance company on a keyed car (or worse) with a $1000 deductible when the perp is a mau mau who don’t have crap, don’t make crap, and don’t give a crap because he/she’s just a ‘kid’.
What I DO have is a frigging vote and there is no one on this earth that will stop me from getting to the polls and voting for Donald J. Trump.
I hadn’t really been worried about getting my car vandalized, but I was worried about social ostracism by the Democrats in my neighborhood.
This sums it up. Nowadays people are afraid of getting their cards vandalized, or getting into confrontations with kooks and crackpots, if your car has bumper stickers expressing opinions on candidates or issues.
On a recent 800 miles trip in Texas, we saw two Bernie bumper stickers, two Trump, and one for Hillary (in backward Austin, of course). The bumper sticker companies in China must be wondering if we are having an election this year.
People don't want their cars keyed or their tires slashed.
2016 is not a Presidential campaign, but rather a sitzkrieg, and everyone knows this, even if they don't know the word, or its French equivalent, drôle de guerre.
You risk having your car vandalized if some activist yute with ties to BLM or some rockheaded member of a labor union does not like your sticker.
I drove 11,000 miles and saw Bernie all over a few Trump signs..Hillary maybe one
This was May and June
Best spots on the 11,000 miles Tetons and San Juan Islands
When you can be pretty sure your car is gonna be “keyed” if
you dare stick a TRUMP sticker on your car, it’s pretty
tempting just not to do it.
Lack of Hillary stickers due to lack of enthusiasm. Lack of Trump stickers out of fear of vandalism.
There is no enthusiasm about either one.
After $700 damage to my car, I no longer put Republican bumper stickers anywhere!
Mine was in 2008 for my bumper sticker.
I’ve noticed the same. I have noticed Trump signs but there are zero Hillary signs in my area. Also there has been no Clinton folks in my area. Obama had folks all over Central Virginia. I stopped here in NC where I’m working and the local GOP office was all out of Trump materials.
