Go away, Cruzombie; you still don’t “get it” and I doubt you ever shall.

Ted Cruz wanted to leave Republican delegates with a case of buyers remorse.
The plan was carefully scripted: snub Donald Trump by not endorsing him at the Republican convention on Wednesday night. Unleash a stirring cry for conservative values that would call up memories of Ronald Reagans 1976 clarion call at Gerald Fords coronation. That show-stealing speech set Reagan on a glide path to the 1980 nomination, which is what Cruz is hoping for in 2020.
But the plan went awry, and sparked an ugly clash at the GOP convention in Cleveland. As Cruzs speech dragged past the 20-minute mark with just a perfunctory mention of Trumps triumph, the crowd grew restive. Say his name! some Trump allies shouted. Go home! others yelled.
Then the host himself twisted the knife. As Cruz was wrapping up, Trump stepped on his peroration, walking into the arena to join family in his VIP box. The boos for the Texan rang long and loud. Two Trump sources told TIME the outburst was orchestrated by the campaign after they were tipped off that Cruz would withhold the endorsement.
Might have been a set up so that Cruz can claim that Trump supporters are thugs and Trump should not be supported. Heidi Cruz was escorted part way out by Ken Cuccinelli, a militant Trump opponent, and he may have called security, too.
Stranger things have happened.
I didnt make myself clear.
At one point, I actually donated to Cruz.
Then came Corker and TPA > TPP.
The mans a globalist theocrat.

The man is a globalist theocrat...
Boy that needs to be emphasized!!!
First time a party has been transformed so remarkably, by an outsider. We'll see if the decision was wise, over time. Cruz's remarks certainly showed a division in the party, and amplified it, perhaps made the division look bigger than it is - and no matter what, the press will add to that.
My gut tells me it was a wise move. It is going to accelerate the playing out of the "Cruz force" to whatever end it ultimately reaches. I think the exposure speeds up demise, rather than success.
That end is worth the short, intense pain to Trump.
Newt is fantastic. He will have a place in the Trump cabinet.
After tonight, it is clear that reality and Ted are strangers.
Good riddance to that piece of dirt. May he lose his senate seat and be reduced to a life of obscurity. He made his bed. He tied himself at the hip with that whack job Glenn Beck. He obviously believes his father's lunatic rantings that he was destined to be "king" or whatnot of America. We don't need that sort in any position of power or responsibility.
Thanks!
USA USA :)
Pence is magnificent!
That alone would be worth celebrating.
Reagan didn’t attempt to steal the limelight by refusing to endorse Ford...
I think its time for the pic of Ted in drag!
wow..
Back then I had wondered why seemingly everyone in the Senate loathed Cruz so much. I had thought it was the legislation he promoted was too extreme or something.
Now I understand. It's not his politics, it's him.
No question Trump gave him the opportunity - it was up to Cruz what to do with it.
