Never let it be said that Newt Gingrich is predictable.
As the political world waits to see if the former Georgia congressman and U.S. House speaker gets tapped to be Donald Trump’s running mate, Gingrich teamed up with his former Crossfire partner Van Jones to discuss this week’s shootings in Dallas, Baton Rouge and Minnesota.
Speaking on Facebook Live, Gingrich was his typically direct self. But, in this age of polarized politics, whether it be of the electoral or racial variety, Gingrich’s comments were also remarkable. Here is the key quote:
“It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years to get a sense of this. If you are a normal, white American, the truth is you don’t understand being black in America and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.”

But it does not give them a right to violence.

The government and LBJ’s “Great Society Program” is largely responsible for the plight of Blacks in this country. Unbridled welfare has destroyed the Black family. And Obola, with his “eight-year” recession that has hit Black employment disproportionatly only makes what’s an already untenable situation worse. I don’t condone Black violence, and I hope these killers in Dallas are not long on the Earth.
Any black who stays in school, acts decently, and works hard, has always succeeded as much as any white person.
Newt is perpetuating the black racists’ propaganda that use blacks to their advantage.
Newt balanced the federal budget and single handedly created a surplus (that Bill took credit for)
For many, many years now DC has been telling us that they are smart and we are stupid. They understand the issues and problems, and we do not. They see the big picture, but their redneck rube constituents see only their little pet peeves. We ignorant, unwashed masses should be grateful that the Elitists are in charge, making all the important decisions. We should simply rubberstamp their stellar leadership, and stop complaining.

If you live among a large group of people who are disproportionately criminal, it is difficult for the police to separate the good from the bad. Why don’t black communities get together and say to their family members commit less crime? The Italian communities had to help the cops get rid of the mafia in the 1980’s. Before that, law enforcement and FBI hassled everybody in those Italian/mafia neighborhoods. What are you gonna do?

Anyone detect a whiff of bigotry? Is their just a hint of hypocrisy too?
There are a number of individuals that have been prosecuted and heavily fined by the U.S. government for doing exactly that. Not only that, but bigger firms that hire smaller subcontractors to meet these quotas are exposed to fines for that sort of thing, too.
Our Pastor has quoted world income figures in several sermons. The poor in this country are still in the top 1% of the world.
Our poor have housing, clothing, cell phones, big screen TV’s, health care, etc.... What are they doing to help the bottom 99%? Are they giving their “fair share”?
Does Newt really think that liberals will love him more by spewing this crap?
Again, fear of success strikes Mr. Gingrich.
What is NOT understood (or at least not talked about) is how LBJ’s “Great Society” destroyed black families.
There may have been prejudice before, but it was the stupid kind. Now it’s based on fear of violence or theft. I know people who owned a store in a mall... they said their views absolutely changed, when only 10% of their customers were black, but they were responsible for 90% of their shoplifting.
She had to stop taking checks because every time they would bounce, and even when she won in court, she was unable to collect. Same with prosecuting shoplifters- she spent half her time in courts until I told her to stop trying to CATCH them and focus on Prevention- put highly visible mirrors and video cameras all over and watch people. They may get mad, but her theft droped dramatically.
