Three people were arrested with multiple loaded guns, rifles and ballistic vests at the Holland Tunnel Tuesday when police stopped them for driving with a cracked windshield, authorities tell NBC 4 New York.
The three individuals, two men in their 50s and a woman in her 20s who may be from Pennsylvania, were stopped on the New Jersey side of the tunnel around 8 a.m., authorities said. A search of their vehicle revealed the weapons cache.
The guns seized included long-range weapons as well as handguns. A camouflage helmet with what appeared to be night goggles was also recovered.
I personally know of one instance of being stopped - and cited - for a cracked windshield (and nothing else).
Sweet ride! I like these people!
My son ordered them as gifts for the groomsmen, dad’s, grandfathers and some uncles at his wedding. They are pretty cool
This looks like what my son would take over to his friends house to shoot just for funsies...
Oberon!
Today is your special day!!
I hope you are spending it with Titania!
I've never heard anything bad from DE police. Doesn't make it true though.
this ... every picture tells a story, don’t it ...
Your point is correct, but then, so is mine. No one needs to be AUTHORIZED to buy a gun. But yes, some have been DE-authorized. The freedom to own is PRESUMED in the absence of a specific, identifiable disqualifying factor.
OK.
I live in NY. I drive through NYC to get from my home on LI to my hunting camp in western NY. I don’t advertise. No orange vests hung In the window. Before driving through NYC I must legally Unload and lock up my carry weapon...I may re-arm once in Westchester county . Don’t want Wilhelm Doooshbag DiBlasio popping me for something so reduculous.
Some more to the story.....he owns a gun shop near me called High Ground Tactical:
Been going through the guy’s FB pictures.
He JUST lost his daughter to a heroin OD about 4 months ago. Looks like there’s some meat to this story of him buggin’ over to Queens. One news story says this:
One of the suspects has been identified as 50-year-old John Cramsey, a Pennsylvania gun store owner who has made it his mission to rescue drug addicts after his daughter overdosed on heroin on February 21.
According to NBC New York one of the suspects told investigators they were driving to Queens to try to save a heroin-addicted friend who was being held against her will. Police said they were looking for the woman in Queens, the news station reports. Cramsey had posted on Facebook early Tuesday morning about his planned mission to save a girl from a Brooklyn hotel.
Police said they seized a shotgun, an AR-15 style rifle and handguns, along with goggles, tactical gear, ammunition and knives. An ammo-box labelled Shoot your local heroin dealer and a bag with the label firearms instructor were also in the vehicle, photos released by the Port Authority show. Other tactical gear had the word police written on it. One of the gun magazines seized had the word America on it and another said United We Stand.
What a marvelous bit of police work - you’d imagine they’d have some little sense to cover the windshield in the impound lot until someone got around to cracking it so they would have the initial reason for the stop covered.
I’m sure that there’s someone with his head in his hands trying to figure out what the heck to do with their ‘grand victory’ in protecting New York, and the inevitable fallout for an illegal stop.
Whatever you do, make sure your windshield is on straight.
Tell ya what, if it was muslims and it STOPPED my WIFE from being KILLED in NYC, that’s FINE by me.
This isn’t the heartland or the south and it IS terrible that we can’t have guns.
But that means when someone has stuff like that they have NO PROBLEM breaking the law and are up to no good
Do all the snickering like a 13 year old that you want.
It’s better than my wife or friends dying.
Did you ever hear the saying it is what it is? guns are illegal here so this was bad news. It sucks but it’s the truth.
Just like how easily the confederate flags and statues were taken down without a fight. It sucks, but it is what it is
Anybody watch Demolition Ranch?
Watch out for cops with slingshots instead of radar guns.
A ton of weapons in your vehicle any given time?
Come on, that’s a bit of a stretch. What reason is there for that? Besides wanting to test them all at the gun range?
It is your right, but that doesn’t make it sensible. Any more than my grandfather carrying 50 lb of tools in his trunk “just in case”.
Never mind the drugs found.
