Ben Carson has the ability to say everything he shouldn’t at exactly the wrong time.
Since the former neurosurgeon has taken up the role of working on Donald Trump’s vice presidential team, he has suggested that the candidate may pick a Democratic running mate, dropped she-who-must-not-be-named Sarah Palin as a potential pick and earlier generally questioned a number of the presumptive nominee’s habits from his Twitter use to lack of pragmatism.
So he was off the VP team in a hurry.

Col. West has the opposite problem of Dr. Carson. West ALWAYS appears to be short fused and pissed off. ALWAYS! Yes, there are many good reasons to be that way, so very true. But for leadership, or Vice-leadership, we need someone more multi-fauceted, less two dimensional, able to show many sides of his personality to the public.
Unless there is something in his past we don’t know about, Alan West would be a great choice for VP. For all your reasons, plus a few practical ones.....
Look Trump is treating Carson like a mushroom. Keeping him in the dark and feeding him shite. He needs to give Carson some BS job to keep him happy so he continues to endorse Trump for President. I guess the VP search team was too much for him. Let’s face it Ben Carson is a DoDo bird. I wouldn’t let the guy near me with a scalpel. :-)

Personally, I would have picked a more politically savvy
person than Dr Carson to head the VP selection group.
Part of the job is to float a few names for public
consumption and Dr Carson has a propensity to talk more
than he needs to. The way Carson was dismissed seems a
little too crude, also. It could have been announced that
he was moving to another position within the campaign.
That would have saved some embarrassment and the appearance
of disorganization.
Throw a strand against the wall...if it sticks...done.
My reasons for West for VP weren’t practical? :)
Just having a politician not PC crippled and willing to tell the truth about Islam is pretty practical- and vitally important.

That’s where he is needed, and what fits his present skill set. Don’t waste time going on ‘The View” or Good Morning America” unless he just wants to kick up some rhetorical dust for publicity. Hosts like Mika Bryzenski and Charlie Rose would ‘feel threatened and even offended!’.

He doesn’t always look angry. He usually is very calm and pleasant when interviewed.
But of course, the Rinos and GOPe would never stand for a man of this caliber to be VP.
He’s too Conservative and decent.

Nothing in politics is by chance. This is all for show. I don’t know why but it is. Trump has my vote even if it means broken glass crawling.

I agree with you. Carson is just not politically experienced; which is not meant as an insult, but he’s a galaxy or two apart from Trump in temperament and strategic thinking.
I always thought those shows like the View, Ellen and other gossip shows were below someone of Presidential material. I want a president and a leader. Now it seems like the King should also be the jester and show everyone how hip he is by dancing like an ass on Ellen or playing the sax on Arsenio Hall.
Good for Mr. Trump. Ben Carson obviously doesn’t know what he is doing.
Honestly? I don’t think Carson has been the same since Cruz up-ended him in Iowa caucuses.
Carson seemed to change before my very eyes, with grayer hair and alternating between a severe, or dazed expression on his face.
TRUMP had seemed to lift his spirits a bit, but darned if Carson didn’t take that confidence injection a tad too far, indulging in shockingly loose lip comments while making the TV rounds.
You just knew this bromance was headed for the can. Can’t imagine what got into Carson, but for TRUMP he was increasingly proving to be a loose cannon, a tactical disaster.
