Death threats against state Democratic Party official draw rebuke

Saturday morning during two votes of the convention....called by the party’s chairwoman, Roberta Lange...

After the votes, Sanders supporters flooded the space in front of the stage where party officials sat, some of them hurling a host of epithets specifically at Lange and the party's vice chairman, Chris Wicker.

...

The following day, some Sanders supporters staged a protest outside of the state party’s offices where they wrote on the building, “you are scum” and “fire Roberta.”

Lange’s cellphone number and other personal contact information were subsequently leaked online, and state party officials say she has received thousands of death threats, threats of violence, and misogynistic insults since.

One of the text messages to Lange said, “Praying to god someone shoots you in the FACE and blows your democracy-stealing head off!”

“Our chairwoman had to be given a security detail throughout Saturday just to be able to move around the room and go to the bathroom safely,” the party said in a detailed statement online. “Our office was vandalized by protesters with hateful insults. This activity is beyond the pale.”

Local police have said they are looking into the threats made against Lange and other state Democratic officials.

In the detailed statement, posted online through Medium, the state party also tried to explain the delegate math that had confused and upset many of Sanders’ supporters.

The state party called attention to the convention's disruption in a letter to the co-chairs of the DNC Rules and By-laws committee, alleging that the "explosive situation arose in large part because a portion of the community of Sanders delegates arrived at the Nevada Democratic State Convention believing itself to be a vanguard intent upon sparking a street-fight rather than attending an orderly political party process."

Now, even the Hillary people see it. Bernie’s supporters have consistently been the most violent throughout this campaign.
Ironic that this is the case, considering that of the three candidates. Bernie Saunders seems the most benign and harmless, at least at first glance.

Actually the Bernie supporters are in the right here. Clinton is engaging in an epic campaign of fraud and the Dem primary doesn’t even meet third-world standards of integrity.

If a fair vote were taken, Sanders would be the nominee, and it wouldn’t be close.

A communistic mindset is never benign and harmless.

Sanders reminds me of the pied piper type character played by melvin belli in that one star trek episode.

I’m convinced they’re going to burn down the whole city of Philadelphia if not suppressed by military force. There are no good outcomes for the Democratic Party here.

Melvin Belli; the deceased San Francisco lawyer was in Star Trek? I didn’t know that. My last memories of Belli “The King of Torts” was his reputation for lavishing attention on his four dogs. Mel left them $10K in his will, with most his millions going to charity. Melvin specified that wife #4 was not to receive a penny because he considered her “A miserable and deceitful person”. The newspapers reported that the interior of his home was covered in dog feces.

Yeah, the democrat elites are in a bind. If the person running against PIAPS were anybody normal I Think they’d prevail upon her to drop out as she looks like she has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. They can’t do that this time. They have to hope she wins before the convention, that Mr Sanders drops out and then replace her in a way that the hard left monster they’ve created is mollified.

Riots are a possibility

But, but, but... I thought liberals were so tolerant and peaceful. Why, it’s the Tea Party members that are so violent and threatening, not to mention racist and homophobic. That’s what we hear everytime there is a shooting, I mean, at least outside the black neighborhoods which vote 95% Democrat, and which BTW, black people are rarely seen at Bernie! rallies because Vermont is as white as the winter snow - just like Bernie! No, those rumors of death threats, those can’t be true...

Hillary's wins are entirely above board. You know the Democrats have this little rule where, if a district's votes are close, why, they just have a coin flip instead of all those messy recounts. Hillary is leading Bernie in coin-flip delegates, 273-0. That's entirely fair!

When this fact was disclosed to a New York Times reporter, she exclaimed "Oh my god! Now I understand why she did so well on those cattle futures! Surely, she is the most fortunate woman in America. No wonder we all support her."

Yes, Bernie! has won a few states but you don't win the nomination by winning state after state after state. You win it by winning delegate after delegate and after delegate and it was so smart of her to insist on that weighted coin to help her win all those delegates.

I had predicted pretty early on, that the main event would be what Bernie folks do to Clinton.

It will be SEIU and Teachers Union thugs against Bernie folks and it will get real damned ugly.

For months the media has been trying to set the meme that the Republicans were going to have trouble at their convention. Well, the Dems are gonna have one helluva blow out, and I suspect the police will just turn away if possible. If your enemy is killing itself, why get involved? The dems turned on the cops hardcore to the point they don’t want to do their job. I hope the cops sit it out and let the two sides clash hard and bloody.

And... when it’s all said and done, Hillary will be the nominee and Bernie folks are going to be so angry, many will vote Trump.

I suspect even some Clinton delegates cross the line and vote for Bernie, it’s going to be close, but Hillary owns this nomination, much to the detriment of the D party.

There will be BLM violence against the Clinton camp, and because of the atmosphere the dems created, there will be no way for her to fight back. What’s she going to do? Have BLM folks arrested? The cops ain’t gonna do that, and it would only lead to more civil unrest (Obama set this stage with Ferguson, George Zimmerman, beer summits, etc). As Rev. Wright would say, “The chickens have come home to roost”

It’s going to be pandemonium, and Don King should sell pay per view tickets.

Mr. Trump will emerge as the most level headed individual in our entire nation.

The media are going to go in full melt down, and I suspect Obama will try and postpone the election in some way via declaring martial law due to national emergency.

I see whole blocks consumed in flames the way they were when I was a young man.

It’s going to get real damned ugly.

I wonder how the Sandernistas would react if, as some speculate, the Convention ends up nominating Joe Biden, a guy who didn’t even get a single primary or caucus vote. Should be fun to watch.

” I suspect the police will just turn away if possible. “Philadelphia is the choice for the Dem convention.
Do you really care if they burn the city down?
May be refreshing to start it over.
remember the city of Philadelphia gave us the operation Move destruction.
