You’re probably right.

Note that Independents comprised 24% of the electorate in 2010 and 42% of the electorate in 2014.

All you need to know is how badly Ted lost to Trump in FL and how badly he is about to get beat in the North East. Florida is the second home of the North East.

The Cruz campaign is going to realize what a terrible mistake it was to run this civil war deep into July. You’re going to realize that, just like his bomb throwing in the senate didn’t advance any cause, he will have destroyed any unity amongst the same “squishy Republicans, Independents and crossover Democrats he is so badly going to need in the swing states. A loss of Florida’s 29 electoral votes would require him to win WI and PA just to break even again; then carry the swing states of NC, VA,and OH.

At 8:01 on election night, because the voters he has insulted stay home, Ted Cruz will lose the great sunshine state of Florida, and with that, the election.

While you’re having a few beers to drown out the loss, you might do well to have a few shots along with it, because the GOP will lose Rubio’s Senate seat as well.

There is no way Kasitch wins in Oregon. This is a fools errand.

Kay-sick is a moron. He basically trades away a Winner-Take-All by Statewide delegation (30) and Congressional District (24) state for Oregon, which is basically strictly proportional and New Mexico, which is proportional requiring a 15% floor.

This is a desperate move from two losers which the electorate will see right through.

Cruz supporters have about disappeared here for some reason.

Conservatives aren't welcome here. Good luck in November. ;-)

This is absolutely pathetic. Two losers joining hands to lose together? Not even a shred of logic/strategy there. I don’t want any of these smarmy b’ards any where near the keys to My large white home.

“Supporting the Constitutional Conservative in the race. Constitutional Conservative Cruz.”

“Constitutional Conservative” Cruz forgot about Article II of the Constitution. By no stretch of the imagination is Cruz, the Canadian born son of a Castro supporting Cuban father what the Founders would call a Natural Born Citizen. Nor would they support him were they still alive.

Scratching below the surface of Cruz reveals a dedicated globalist.....with core beliefs not that far apart from those of Obama. I’m not suggesting that Cruz is Obama and insult both of our intelligences, but both seemed to have been ultimately shaped by their foreign fathers and a very liberal JD education at Harvard.

I said no thanks to Obama, and I say the same to Cruz for much the same reasons.

Trump defies labeling as either a Democrat or a Republican. I don’t think he thinks in those terms. Trump is an anachronism...a man motivated by his deeply held love of country/patriotism. What a refreshing change! One not seen since President Reagan.

In that sense Trump is The only true Conservative. He truly loves his country. His country, my country, your country. Just watching his children and listening to them speak sheds a lot of light on Trump the man.

Trump is running for President because he loves his country, sees the dangers it faces, and is willing to sacrifice his life and time to help right it. Because I and others have looked beyond the rhetoric and recognize Trump for what he truly is.....he has our support. His obvious deeply held love of country and willingness to sacrifice for it wins us over every time.

Cruz has torched those like me who use to support him. I would crawl through broken glass to vote against him.

I would be insulted if I put in time and effort to research which candidate earned my vote, and then that candidate told me not to vote for him.

We're people making an important personal decision in a democratic society; we're not pawns in a political game.

This tactic is disrespectful to the voters.

I have no need to drink beers to drown out any loss, as I’d happily support either of the two, which should be apparent when I wrote that I “prefer” Cruz.

I prefer Cruz because his stance on most issues are closer to mine. However, Trump is clearly the stronger leader, and thus more likely to get more of his agenda enacted as president, so there’s that.

As for calling out Cruz on his mistakes, I thought I already did that in my post, so I don’t think I have anything yet to “realize” on that score. My simple point was that I think Cruz has a limited window of opportunity to backpedal here, get out, start supporting Trump, and walk away from all of this without much political damage, if he does that soon.
