The far-Right appeared close to seizing the Austrian presidency on Sunday night, in an election result that will send shockwaves through Europe.
Norbert Hofer, the gun-toting candidate of the Freedom Party (FPÖ), won almost twice as many votes as his nearest rival, according to exit polls.

In Austrian, of course.
The rifle the German army adopted a few years ago (G36 I believe) is a piece of junk — at least two German KIA’s in Afghanistan were considered partially a result of their guns jamming up repeatedly in the heat of battle...Not to mention the integral scope totally loses accuracy with use due to the polymer parts melting and letting the barrel shift. Many German soldiers apparently try to qualify as skilled marksmen, which allows them to carry the much better rifle that the army used to issue standard back in the ‘70s-mid-’90s.
On the Italy-Austria border there is a crucial mountain pass that Muslim migrant-invaders have been allowed free through. Two months ago Austria announced this pass would now be closed off to non-visa entry. Fenced off so to speak.

Someone with common sense = Ultra-conservative
When I hear about Austrian "far-right nationalists" common sense isn't the first thing that comes to mind ...
You know who else was an Austrian and was described as "far right" ...
And no, I don't want to get into the argument about whether you-know-who was really left wing or not ...
Hmmmm, there is always a far right, but never a far left.

Nigel Farage said a few years ago that in modern Europe “far-right” has become a generic insult.
It is high time that Austria, once the annexed redheaded stepchild of Germany, stand for itself, in a time when good ol’ Germany has a bad case of self-applied visage de alimentary canal.
Talk to me in 2018 if they seize Parliament. While this is encouraging, it’s a ceremonial role and he only has 35% AND he has a runoff coming up.
The West will never do that even if it would benefit them.
Maybe they can take their country back from the liberal wacko’s
Liberals love adjectives!
They’re just warming up for our elections.
Outlaw Islam
Expel all Muslims
Stop all aid to Muslim lands
” Coup détat?”
Or as Obama would say “Coupe d’etat?”
Actually, I think it suffices to be opposed to unfettered immigration from the Muslim world to be branded “far-right” in Europe. One could be gung-ho for European integration, but suggest that a united Europe should limit immigration from the Muslim world and you’ll be “far-right”.
the world needs some far, far, far right these days
