The New York Sun announced it is endorsing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% in the Republican primary Tuesday.
According to the Sun:
It hasnt been our normal practice to endorse in the primaries, but this year the vote, set for Tuesday, will take on outsized importance as we career toward a contested convention. The junior senator from Texas has emerged from a crowded field by dint of his fidelity to principles limited, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a strong foreign policy that couldnt be at higher premium. They are the true New York Values.
Regardless of the issues presented to Cruz while on the campaign trail, including questions of public policy such as abortion and same-sex marriage, the candidate says his overriding source for decision-making is the Constitution and that the founding document is the means to unify Americans.
The conservative Sun states its editorial board is looking for a candidate who grasps, is committed to, and is excited by Americas constitutional principles.

YES!!!
Who’s the New York Sun?
Maybe Dr. Susan Berry should learn the difference between ‘career’ and ‘careen’.
And for the Demoncrap Party they support Bernie Sanders!!!
Hahaha. New York Sun. It went out of business last decade and now survives as an online opinion rag. Nobody reads it.
Translation:
Sun sets on Cruz.
Well, well, well...
looks like there are actual Consitutional conservatives in NY..
Who put substance over symbolism...
the candidate says his overriding source for decision-making is the Constitution and that the founding document is the means to unify Americans
*************
I’m not a Cruz supporter but I like his Constitutional views on practical federalism. The ever expanding and sweeping powers of the federal government have resulted in more disunity in my opinion. The best way to unify America is to restrain the dominance of the federal government and return power to the states. We need to restore a healthy balance and division of power in the country.
..Whos the New York Sun?...
It originally published between the Mid 1800’s and the early 1900’s. It’s apparently an internet site now, it oprinted 50,000 copies once, and many, like you, ask, “Whos the New York Sun?”
Her usage is correct. It's not that common, but it's real:
"One definition of career is to move at full speed, especially with an uncontrolled or unsteady motion. Careen used to mean (1) to turn (a ship) on its side for cleaning or repairs, and (2) to lurch or sway, especially when in motion. But in modern usage, careen has come to mean to move fast, especially in an uncontrolled way."
A copy editor made this case to me decades ago. I prefer "careen," but we can let her live.
Yes and like the southern conservatives voted for trump, the conservatives in New York are voting for trump.
;-)
As opposed two the liberal rag, the daily news that nobody reads or the liberal my times.
Curse them! Vile heretics. Have they no shame?
On point post...
The progressives will only be in power as long as they can harness the power of the federal government...
Promoting all type of disunity drives their agenda with the power of the government, because their failed ideas will always fail.
.
Let her live but kill her auto correct feature ... they can be so helpful.
I can understand the French origin and any reliance on using it in some odd manner, but it isn’t the standard definition used by many dictionary sources of notability, if at all, certainly not one used in common media.
-—Yes and like the southern conservatives voted for trump, the conservatives in New York are voting for trump.-—
You guys act as if Trump got 100% of the vote.
Lots of conservative voted for Cruz...as well...
I guess with a 3rd place finish in the south he got some votes. I’ll give you that. Heck even on FR, 18 percent would vote for Cruz.
I’ve lived on Staten Island my whole life and worked in NYC for almost 30 years.
What the @#$@#$ is the New York Sun?
