It was good that we did it. There was a mixup regarding meeting place that caused us to have fewer people than we should have had at five-thirty, but we eventually ended up with a bunch of stalwarts who were still there bringing people in from the sidewalk and yelling to drivers when I left at a quarter to eight. We followed the old freeper rule that a few protesters, or even one protester, is better than no one at all. One of the people in a video I watched last night said, "There are actually some pro-Trump people here." I didn't see anything about us today. Post it if you see it?
At the onset, we were besieged by protesters who came right up to our barricades and started waving their arms and screaming hate-filled tirades at us. Their favorite topic was how hate-filled we were! The police yanked them away before any violence could start, and after that we were mostly yelled at from across the avenue.
At one point, the Strategic Response Team arrived to investigate a banner that had been dropped from a window in an upper floor of the Hyatt. It said GOP + Trump = Party of Hate. It started to occur to me that they are trying to reverse the language again, this time with the word "hate." The SRT might have been concerned about the heavy cans that were attached to the banner to keep it from blowing in the wind (it didn't work) but maybe they were just checking out which floor it was coming from and which window. It soon disappeared.
The cops overall were fantastic and we were very grateful. They were drawn from all the boroughs and there were many, many of them.
The BLM and other protesters in the big mob dispersed before the event at the Hyatt was over. I guess they were being paid by the hour. I didn't see the part where they arrested the people who caused a disturbance in the security line. I did see a bunch of cops holding lots of plastic handcuffs head toward the main entrance.
Those in our group who held out the longest were treated to the arrival of Info Wars staff, with cameras etc. They are now on their way to Portland to deal with anti-free-speech problems out there. During the course of the event, we had CBC, NBC, Newsday, and others.
Thanks to all who attended!
Hats off to you guys,,you are really the warriors on the front lines! I very much respect and admire your amazing efforts!!
Glad you were there representing. Thank you for countering those fools.
Not as angry with RUSH as your tagline seems to convey. I have been around since the beginning and seem a lot of ups and downs...never lost hope.
I am now however ready to change my registration.
Yes. Dennis, last night.
Be careful. Those people are dangerous.
I thought they might have come from inside the hotel. How clever. Just rent a room.
Good job firebrand!
A nice group photo adds to Team Spirit!
“One of the hosts at the gala announced that 10 hotel guests who tried to disrupt the event were arrested.”
Hmmm. . .pay top dollar for a hotel room and then spend the night in jail. . . smart move, Sparky.
So glad the cops were helpful, firebrand! diBlasio and the Democrats certainly haven’t made friends among them. Great AAR!! Thanks!!
Brave patriots of NY ping!

Great report. Thanks.
Impressive—thanks for being willing to stand in the gap.
Maybe it will rekindle the old days of freeping in DC against Clinton.
Thank you.
Thank you for the AAR and thanks to all who attended with you!
I was with you in spirit...from the dentist's chair.

BRAVO!!!! BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!
hope to be with all you brave partiots at the next one!!!
One would think that if you are going to give a report in a public forum of a happening, that you would mention a location. At least what state it is in.
Oh, I eventually figured it out, but how much more useful your report would have been with that little bit of info.
