It was good that we did it. There was a mixup regarding meeting place that caused us to have fewer people than we should have had at five-thirty, but we eventually ended up with a bunch of stalwarts who were still there bringing people in from the sidewalk and yelling to drivers when I left at a quarter to eight. We followed the old freeper rule that a few protesters, or even one protester, is better than no one at all. One of the people in a video I watched last night said, "There are actually some pro-Trump people here." I didn't see anything about us today. Post it if you see it?
At the onset, we were besieged by protesters who came right up to our barricades and started waving their arms and screaming hate-filled tirades at us. Their favorite topic was how hate-filled we were! The police yanked them away before any violence could start, and after that we were mostly yelled at from across the avenue.
At one point, the Strategic Response Team arrived to investigate a banner that had been dropped from a window in an upper floor of the Hyatt. It said GOP + Trump = Party of Hate. It started to occur to me that they are trying to reverse the language again, this time with the word "hate." The SRT might have been concerned about the heavy cans that were attached to the banner to keep it from blowing in the wind (it didn't work) but maybe they were just checking out which floor it was coming from and which window. It soon disappeared.
The cops overall were fantastic and we were very grateful. They were drawn from all the boroughs and there were many, many of them.
The BLM and other protesters in the big mob dispersed before the event at the Hyatt was over. I guess they were being paid by the hour. I didn't see the part where they arrested the people who caused a disturbance in the security line. I did see a bunch of cops holding lots of plastic handcuffs head toward the main entrance.
Those in our group who held out the longest were treated to the arrival of Info Wars staff, with cameras etc. They are now on their way to Portland to deal with anti-free-speech problems out there. During the course of the event, we had CBC, NBC, Newsday, and others.
Thanks to all who attended!
Thanks for the report and thanks for the action!
ping to the NYC-area list, including people who are not supporting Trump (thought you’d be interested anyway)
Good job and stay safe when near those thugs.
ping to the Trump Family
We had excellent protection and are never worried when we’re demonstrating in New York City.
I saw the video of the guy who walked right into their group and was purposely antagonizing them and got beat up. He was pushed first, of course, before he threw his punch. I am not that brave, or crazy. The guy yelling, “ISIS is here! Defend yourself!” Bless his heart.
Want to ping this one to your list?
I hope some of those leftists wound up in the slammer.
Ha! I didn’t see this but we’re thinking alike.
America thanks you, patriot! I THANK you! May God bless you and your house.
We can WIN this thing with those like you who are leading us.
Congratulations!
To you for the Portland information. There is probably something on Info Wars about this.
XXXOOO
One of the hosts at the gala announced that 10 hotel guests who tried to disrupt the event were arrested.
These are well funded protesters!
I love happy endings.
Thank you for your service.
Ping for free speech.
Ping for Donald Trump!
Based on what I've heard from friends who've gone to Trump rallies, and Gavin McInnes's sizzle reel it seems like something I would enjoy.
Thanks for the ping...love to be called part of the family!
