Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.
Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

Did you accidentally or intentionally omit Trump’s contributions to Republicans?
Ted Cruz slimed every resident of the state of New York with his I’ll conceived comment. He owes those Americans an apology.
Anybody with any sense knew that the GOP would be a part of the deal....and they'd have to choose who they would get behind. Be it Trump or Cruz....Obviously they're coming out behind Cruz as we've seen along the way...they may not like it but they have no other choice.
Did you honestly think all the hoopla for Trump at his rallies was going to seal the deal?.... This is high stakes political gamemanship in play for the highest office in the Land..... and your guy can't fit the bill because he doesn't know the game....nor did he want to learn it.....now he's having to re-’construct’ his campaign to fit the board.....he's realized he's not building Trump Towers.....and THIS is an entirely different “deal” he hasn't a clue how to maneuver without getting better minds then his to do it for him.
You guys want this to be over before Convention....and that's perfectly understandable...but if your guy doesn't get the delegate count all bets are off and it's a different game.....has nothing to do with sleazy tactics....has to do with understanding what's a stake and how each candidate out manuvers the other...and it takes a pro to do do this.
Watch the game board and how the moves are played rather than listen to the media's gibberish.....it's past "feeding" time....now you have to "think".
Donald Trump did worse than that when he equated New York values with unwavering support for keeping partial birth abortion legal. Trump was the one who defined New York values - not Cruz. Yet you decry Cruz for using the standard set by Trump. Unreal.
The danger of the sleazy tactics you support, is that the GOPe gets to once again, pick the candidate they want and then it’s long-live the Uniparty.
You and your delusional ilk will get much of the blame and deservedly so. I hope you realize that.

...”Ted Cruz slimed every resident of the state of New York with his Ill conceived comment. He owes those Americans an apology.”.....
No he didn’t nor should he apologize for something that needs no apology.
Cruz was referring to Trumps New York values,... Is it that New York is ranked #1 in political corruption? New York is ranked the worst state in America for taxpayers? That excessive regulations have us ranked dead last in freedom? Is it these values driving the consistent exodus of taxpayers out of our great state being third in the States People are Fleeing.?....and have you forgotten that their own Governor Como said ...”There’s no place in NY for Conservatives”???
There’s many in Upper NY state who have another opinion of how they see the progressive state and it’s politics and they do oppose Trump and know exactly what Cruz was referencing and support him....
The question has been rightly stated....Will the Northern blue state conservatives pick the conservative fighter, Ted Cruz, or the Jerry Springer reality show fighter, Donald J. Kardashian Trump?.... Will they choose strength and principle or opportunism and shallow showmanship?....
That remains to be seen.....
It’s the game...and there are always Losers, or in this case those afraid Trump will lose .....it’s easier to say it’s the Gope and their sleazy tactics then it is to admit your guy didn’t make the effort to understand the game nor prepare for it.
I’m happy to say that those who do understand , and that includes the Trump supporters who knew in the beginning that Trump needed to get his act together and wasn’t......are frankly feeling better that he’s at least recognized he was in over his head and FINALLY, and at least, brought in those who know the next game, even if it’s late in the game....
I’m quite serious when I say watch the manuvers rather than who is winning at the moment or not.....Trumps basically gone into hiding, and cancelled everything pretty much for the next days.....he had no choice in order to catch up and prepare for what’s coming....it’s called planning.
We disagree, but it's alright.
There's so much conversation about this one topic, precisely because so many disagree on it. Not everyone sees it as you do. Not everyone sees it as I do - hence the discussion.
I think it was a faux pas on Ted's part. He could have worded his comment in a multitude of different ways, but unfortunately, he got stuck with the words that came out of his mouth in that instant.
Trump has done the same, many times. I freely admit this. Sometimes he's owned up to them, and sometimes not. Same with Ted, and every other politician out there.
Ted needs to own up to what he said, and admit that it came out badly. That is all.
Keep fighting the GOP establishment fight!

Look....it was a simple faux pas on Ted's part. If he'd had even two additional nanoseconds to think about it, I'm sure he would have phrased it differently.
I'm not such a Trumpohile that I don't see that.
The point is, Ted blew it. He was under pressure, and said something that he clearly shouldn't have. He ought to man up to that, and apologize to the citizens of New York state. I'm sure quite a few of them would be willing to soften their hearts and give him a listen, if he began at that starting point.
Are you such a hard core partisan that you can't perceive when the other side has been grievously offended by a statement from one of our spokesmen?
Ted didn't say, "New York City values", he said, "New York values".
If you were a conservative (or even Republican) citizen of that state, I'm pretty sure you'd be offended by such a remark, owing to the fact that it was a broad swipe against every New Yorker.
What’s fighting the Gop is not seen....
would you mind posting a list of his R buddies and beyond?
How about the values of Ted's current hometown (Houston, TX)?
Here's a little sample of Houston, TX values. |
Houston elected one of the first lesbian big-city mayors in America, pictured here. (Now these two lesbians are "married".) She tried to dictate what Houston pastors could and could not preach about. |
Here are some pictures of the various Gay Pride Parades/Festivals held regularly in Houston, TX. |
The lesbian former mayor of Houston lit up Houston's City Hall, just like Obama lit up the White House in rainbow colors for homosexuals. Here are several different photos of that occasion (with White House in center). |
"Lesbian Mayor Uses Position To Go After Pastors" "Pride Houston LGBT 2014!" Here are a couple Houston, TX youtube video links you can check out to see the "Houston values" of Ted Cruz's hometown. |
By that logic, Cruz currently supports mass legalization.
Which in fact the globalist probably does.
Trump is pro life.
There’s many quotes available and I believe him.
Trump is the best conservative that can win the Presidential election.
Vote Trump.
But he only gave them money so he could build buildings. That is just smart business. /s
Cruz wont be spending much time in NY. Look for him to go to CA and Indiana where he has a chance.
Perhaps Trump is the bogeyman who hides in all our closets. Perhaps Cruz thought he was smarter than everyone else and picked fights he couldn’t possibly win.
