On the eve of the Wisconsin primaries, top Republicans are becoming increasingly vocal about their long-held belief that Speaker Paul Ryan will wind up as the nominee, perhaps on the fourth ballot at a chaotic Cleveland convention.
One of the nations best-wired Republicans, with an enviable prediction record for this cycle, sees a 60 percent chance of a convention deadlock and a 90 percent chance that delegates turn to Ryan ergo, a 54 percent chance that Ryan, wholl start the third week of July as chairman of the Republican National Convention, will end it as the nominee.

It's his turn!
If Trump is such a great deal maker why can’t he figure out a way to work with the GOP?
He gets along great with the Clintons, Reid, Pelosi, deBlasio and other liberals. He should be tight with the GOP.
It is last minute diversion and desperation. They know their days with Cruz are finitely numbered and that he has an effective insurmountable task to win fairly with a voter-elected delegate count. That’s the fact, they can play how they want but joining in with the GOPe, backroom politics and hijinks still won’t be enough.
I’ll stay home if that happens. So will millions of others. The time is now or never - the right way.
I answered it 10 times already.
If Trump doesn't like the RNC rules he shouldn't have committed to them, then to break them .
Unless his whole plan was to elect Hillary.
look it really is easy for you .
I can not break this easier than I have for you.
You keep repeating that trump should step down and many of us have asked where in the world in sport of politics has a front runner stepped down for the first place loser?
Easy question and I hope you can answer this time.
You are delirious. You answer with equivocated wishful BS. In what world does a leader cede to the second best?
Lyin Cruz is rotten person. He is trying to snatch delegates, I am making promise, I will help Hillary campaign to defeat Lying Cruz and any GOP SOB who had endorse Lyin Cruz.
What a shameful cheat he and his followers are.
At what point is it acceptable to say we won’t vote for the nominee on this forum?
I’m there now.
I’d love to see the equivalent in electoral votes on these wins for both candidates. Trump v. Cruz.
Lying Cruz and his followers “Family value” are in full display. They show bible high and do sin, but they have n problem. What a disgusting family values these people have?
Ryan designated loser bump for later....
Your vote won't matter. Ryan or Hillary. The establishment wins.
“Cruz has never been establishment and fights them. He doesn’t want to be in their club and I do not believe he will give up his principles to play their game.”
Well I guess somebody has to break it to you. Cruz has happily taken on the entire Jeb Bush campaign staff along with his ex criminal brother Neil. And gladly accepted Yeb’s endorsement. So I would not call that fighting the establishment.
Defeatist. I’m out to destroy establishment in any way possible. The time is past.
Cruz may get it. The problem with Ryan is that his public persona is about as unattractive as that if Cruz. They both come across as harsh, that is, intelligent and conservativen- but unable to explain it in attractive terms. Cruz probably will have enough of the delegates to win, but if not, I don’t think the pick will be Ryan.
Understand this! Paul Ryan is OWNED and was recruited into DC politics by one CESAR CONDA, immigration lawyer, powerhouse in DC...he is also responsible for and chief of staff to MARCO RUBIO...this is ALL about amnesty and TPPtype trade deals!
IMO, any candidate who is going along to steal this election from the FRONT RUNNER is part of this globalist, alien/Muslim loving problem.
That's why I support Trump. I really hope he destroys the GOPe cartel.
I support Trump too. There is nothing good left of “Republican” any more.
Cruz aint getting anything but maybe allowed to keep his senate seat, Hes hated openly in DC as their token bad boy.
If Cruz doesn't realize that he won't be the GOP nominee even in the unlikely event of pooling slightly more delegates than Trump, he's a deluded idiot. If he does realize it and is doing this anyway as an errand-boy for the RNC, he's a sleaze.
