Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination.
By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.
Actually in only 3 weeks, on April 26th, it will be clear that Ted Cruz cannot win.
(chart from Google)
Currently Cruz has only 463 delegates. Even if Cruz wins Wisconsin, which is a state whose delegates are winner take most (WTM), he still will not have enough delegates to win the election by April 26th.
This is in part because New York is leaning heavily towards Trump who leads according to polls listed at Real Clear Politics by as much as 36%. New York has a Republican primary where the delegates are split proportionally. So even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates, it won’t be enough. This is because come April 26th, there are five Republican Presidential primaries and three of these are winner take all (WTA). All three of these states are in the East where polls show Trump leading (Maryland and Pennsylvania) or there is no polling available with the state highly likely leaning towards Trump (Delaware). Even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates in Rhode Island or Connecticut or any of these states, it will not be enough to keep him mathematically in the race.

He can be whatever he wants as long as he stops the refugees coming here, builds the wall and fixes the economy and stops America from apologizing for being Americans like Obama does every time he has the chance. Everything else I could care less about.
Then why does all of this matter? Why even have any more votes? Why don’t you call Cruz and tell him about this article, he can save a lot of his time.
What is the big deal?
Go Trump Go........that is the magic number
Ain't it so........ This guy is upper class that can talk like a lower class buffoon.
When he wins he will be back up in his penthouse pi$$ing down on us.
He will probably put the Whitehouse on stilts just so he feels better about himself. LOL
‘Then why are you all so jittery?’
Oh I dunno. I guess it’s because Cruz is trying to steal Trump delegates. Because the GOP-e is using Cruz as a cats’ paw. Either that or Cruz is Establishment.
Things like that.

As far back as 2000, in his book, The America We Deserve, [Trump] condemned illegal immigration, said that illegals needed to leave the country, and insisted we should put the interests of Americans before those of immigrants (even legal ones). By 2011 in the chapter, ‘It’s Called Illegal Immigration for a Reason,’ in his book Time to Get Tough, Trump came down very hardline on the border, saying we need to build a wall, greatly increase border patrol agents, deport illegal criminals, stop giving anchor babies citizenship, etc. So, yes, I think his calling for the border to be secured for the last 16 years is long enough for me to trust that he will actually do it, especially considering all the heat he’s taken for his position. — FenwickBabbitt

... Cruz going to McAllen Texas (Saturday, July 19th 2014) to hand out gift baskets and welcome illegal alien families ...
... The media’s response to Palin’s speech? Well, initially (and immediately) they began accusing her of lying about the ‘gift baskets’. Then, after they realized everything she was saying was factual, they started spinning. Eventually, they dropped the subject ...
... and ...
Cruz belated supports Smart Trade, but is Heidi a globalist?
Heidi Cruz is on record supporting a globalist plan. So can someone explain to me how that is a dissent?
‘I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America.’*
She then followed up with praise for free market forces which all sound exactly like Milton Friedman. Which is excellent for a sovereign nation.
But the CFR plan? How to make North America more like the European Union.
And she ‘supported’ it in her ‘dissent’?
‘... Her contribution to the report was narrowly focused on economic issues,’ Rick Tyler** told WND. ‘She said as much in her dissenting view included in the report.’*
Is the Cruz campaign being truthful? Was her support a dissent? What am I missing?
How involved would she be in a Cruz White House?
Could it be that Cruz was slow to talk about ‘Fair Trade’ because he agrees with her?
Yes but not when someone was this far ahead like Trump.
Cruz knows it, but he is working for the Establishment.
It cannot be any clearer if the guy will not step down even though it’s mathematically impossible for him to win the nomination.
The only thing wrong with this scenario is that it will be equally obvious by then, even to a half-blind commentator like Jim Haft, that Trump ain’t getting there either.
By his actions now Ted Cruz has eliminated his chances to EVER get the nomination in 2024 he can forget that.. He can kiss his future Presidential aspirations goodbye.
I remember when ‘conservatives’ were 100% against Clinton/algore’s attempt to install a VAT tax.... Now many of those so called conservatives, Rush in particular, are calling Cruz the most conservative candidate. Rush the one, who was exposed in taking secret meals with Schumer and Graham to get ‘amnesty’ talking points way back in 2011.
Exactly.
And then there are those that are a bit too Mittery.
That's a rather benign description of posting that is often manic, on the autism scale, or sometimes shows evidence of borderline personality disorder.
>>Then why are you all so jittery?
Because the GOPe rules the Convention. Cruz won’t be able to win, but he will still be able to do his duty for his Establishment masters and spoil Trump’s win.
Because, like Cruz, those who have made it their goal in life to stop trump from being the clear winner (even though that will leave us with no winners) seem to be fine with the chaos when it is discovered that those who originally hated Cruz still hate him and only "supported" him because they hate/fear Trump more and their combined efforts put Hillary that much closer to the WH.
The question is, why aren't all the "stop Trump" folks having any inner qualms about what is going on?
how about - eliminaTED
If Glenn & Ted are not elected to be our next President, then God killed Scalia FOR NOTHING.
