Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination.
By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.
Actually in only 3 weeks, on April 26th, it will be clear that Ted Cruz cannot win.

Currently Cruz has only 463 delegates. Even if Cruz wins Wisconsin, which is a state whose delegates are winner take most (WTM), he still will not have enough delegates to win the election by April 26th.
This is in part because New York is leaning heavily towards Trump who leads according to polls listed at Real Clear Politics by as much as 36%. New York has a Republican primary where the delegates are split proportionally. So even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates, it won’t be enough. This is because come April 26th, there are five Republican Presidential primaries and three of these are winner take all (WTA). All three of these states are in the East where polls show Trump leading (Maryland and Pennsylvania) or there is no polling available with the state highly likely leaning towards Trump (Delaware). Even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates in Rhode Island or Connecticut or any of these states, it will not be enough to keep him mathematically in the race.

Here’s an article from 2013 discussing the Republican nomination process and how it changed in 1972 to what we have now. Where our candidates are bruised, bloody and broke even before they fight the real battle. (Hmm - they didn’t say bruised, bloody and broke in the article. Those are my words. N.Y., N.J., Pa., Ct., Delaware, and Maryland are NOT Cruz "friendly" states! R.I. is pretty much the bluest of the Blue states, even more so than N.Y. and there are NO polls, nor news at all from that state, so I'm not mentioning it with the ones I do know about.
And then there's California, which is NOT a winner take all state, so no matter HOW Trump does there, he SHALL still get delegates. So "count noses" and Trump gets MORE than the required 1237.

Anyway, she went to speak in front of Congress about the problem. She said she met Crz, and he hugged her and asked for her contact information. He told her he’d keep in touch with her to see what he could do. He NEVER called - NEVER. No one did until Trump started contacting the families. Cruz doesn’t care about anyone but himself, power and prestige. If he cared about anyone, he sure wouldn’t have pulled a dirty, rotten trick on Dr. Carson either. Ben didn’t deserve that, but, did Cruz care? He** NO! Cruz makes my stomach turn, and it’s sickening to watch and listen o you cultists defend this piece of garbage.
