Based on Current Situation=> Ted Cruz Will Be Knocked Out of Race By April 26th
GP ^ | 04/02/16 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 04/02/2016 11:20:48 PM PDT by Enlightened1

Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination.

By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.

Actually in only 3 weeks, on April 26th, it will be clear that Ted Cruz cannot win.

Rep Del Count 4-3

(chart from Google)

Currently Cruz has only 463 delegates. Even if Cruz wins Wisconsin, which is a state whose delegates are winner take most (WTM), he still will not have enough delegates to win the election by April 26th.

This is in part because New York is leaning heavily towards Trump who leads according to polls listed at Real Clear Politics by as much as 36%. New York has a Republican primary where the delegates are split proportionally. So even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates, it won’t be enough. This is because come April 26th, there are five Republican Presidential primaries and three of these are winner take all (WTA). All three of these states are in the East where polls show Trump leading (Maryland and Pennsylvania) or there is no polling available with the state highly likely leaning towards Trump (Delaware). Even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates in Rhode Island or Connecticut or any of these states, it will not be enough to keep him mathematically in the race.

“...why are you all so jittery?”

There’s some false bravado, if I ever saw it.

Are you so confident because Ted’s “secret army” is still waiting in the wings to ambush Trump? Someone forgot to mobilize them on Super Tuesday. And in Arizona. And across the entire deep south.

It should have been clear to you some time back that Cruz isn’t going to win this fair and square. That you continue your blind and even arrogant support of him on this website, shows that you’re willing to toss whatever reputation you once had in this community into the fire.

Good luck. You’re gonna need it.

Even though Cruz isn’t at the mathematically impossible point yet, he will be by the end of the month unless he secures over 80% of all delegates. He just a spoiler for the establishment at this point, he cannot win blue states in the general election, he couldn’t even win the south. Yet he has diluted his supporters to think if he gets the votes on 3rd or 4th ballot, that all the people who supported Trump will just magically fall in line for the general...it’s dissappointing to see the party have a chance to rally behind a historic figure, Trump, and just throw it all away...and yes, he has accomplished many historic feats since running.

[[No jitters at all. Just p*ssed at the hypocrisy of the RNC.]]

What Hypocrisy? It’s a contest- with a goal that needs to be achieved by any candidate- of none reach 1270, then it goes to an open primary- If Trump gets close, but doesn’t achieve it- then he didn’t earn it- if cruz does, but doesn’t get the number, he hasn’t earned it- and it will go to the open primary where each of them will have to earn it from there- That’s just how it works-

The only real thing to be pissed bout is the POSSIBILITY that the RNC changes the stinkin rules to make it impossible for trump, or any candidate, to get the nomination by earning it fairly- I don’t believe they are going to do this though- but after watching rinos become more and more like the left- it might be possible- in which case I will be pissed too- that WILL be a case of thwarting the will of the people- whereas an open primary contest won’t be- may the best man win

A little misleading is the title.

Knocked out would mean eliminated from any chance of the presidency. We know that’s not how this crazy system works.

The real truth is that the GOPe will knocked ted and Donald out and put their own man in, then will go on to lose and hope at election time for them, everyone forgets.

If not, at least the ruling powers will stay ruling and that’s all that ever mattered to them.

disgusting.

No, because it will come down to the final day of primaries when califonia, new jersey and Montana vote. Almost 200 delegates between them all I think. Anyways, the person in the lead doesn’t drop out because they have proven to be the peoples choice up to that point. I’d be saying the same about Cruz if he was in the lead by the way.

Exactly and great post!

Once it is mathmatically impossible for Cruz to win, and he stays in....

Then at that point Cruz is working for the other side. Most likely the complete destruction of the Republican party.

Cruz will no longer be able to say he is not part of the Establishment.

Technically Kasich should already leave, but he will not because the 66 Delegates, by Ohio State law will automatically go to Trump.

Kasich B.S. excuse is so that he will get a VP slot. However, you do not have to stay in the race to become a VP. So that’s just an excuse to be a spoiler.

What makes it worse is that George Soros is funding Kasich now. I don’t see how any objective Republican cannot see what is wrong with this picture?

Personally I think George Soros is very scared if Trump gets elected then Soros will be getting arrested.

By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.

Sorry, but that's not the objective of the game. Cruz doesn't expect to gain 1237 delegates...on the 1st ballot.

The objective is to keep Trump from 1237 on the 1st ballot...and win on a subsequent ballot.

Quite doable...

Well said. It’s just my point of view, but if Cruz was ahead by this much I’d be saying the people have spoken...but he isnt, Trump is and so the people have spoken for him. I guess if I was a hard core Cruz supporter and hated Trump with a passion, I’d be hanging on to him too though...

Perhaps they will plead with teddy to come home and be their prime minister...

Trump SHALL get the 1237 and probably more.

Then, you've got nothing to worry about...

You’re full of shite

And lack self awareness

You say you’re above it all and not emotionally invested and next quasi paragraph go full bore ad hominum on Trump and no pardons by extension

That’s nutty

I thought first reading it you were actually going to write something rather noble

LOL/.....and you claim that you aren't emotionally involved! Your reply belies your words.

I'm not "obsessed" by Trump. Why should I be? Neither do I "worship him", nor am I in a "cult", or any of the other projection complex things that Cruz supporters here spew in their collective, bizarre posts.

Do you PERSONALLY know Trump and/or anyone, ANYONE AT ALL, who is a close personal friend of his? OF COURSE YOU DON'T!

So let me guess...you support Teddykins, the REAL dirt bag, liar, dirty trick lover, fraud, FAUX CHRISTIAN, who has terrible judgement as far as people are concerned and is joined at the hip with Crazy Glenn Beck!

You don't know what you're talking about and are a political naif.

It's all in all a rather strange and pathetic post, isn't it! LOL

Poster, such as that one, know less than NOTHING whatsoever about Trump, or any of the candidates. Yet THEY are the ones who are EXTREMELY emotional and filled with bile.
