Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination.
By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.
Actually in only 3 weeks, on April 26th, it will be clear that Ted Cruz cannot win.
(chart from Google)
Currently Cruz has only 463 delegates. Even if Cruz wins Wisconsin, which is a state whose delegates are winner take most (WTM), he still will not have enough delegates to win the election by April 26th.
This is in part because New York is leaning heavily towards Trump who leads according to polls listed at Real Clear Politics by as much as 36%. New York has a Republican primary where the delegates are split proportionally. So even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates, it won’t be enough. This is because come April 26th, there are five Republican Presidential primaries and three of these are winner take all (WTA). All three of these states are in the East where polls show Trump leading (Maryland and Pennsylvania) or there is no polling available with the state highly likely leaning towards Trump (Delaware). Even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates in Rhode Island or Connecticut or any of these states, it will not be enough to keep him mathematically in the race.

Why is it that you refuse to face the truth?
If Cruz is the nominee, which he won't be, there is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL, that he can beat Hillary, Bernie, nor ANY Dem who winds up being the Dem nominee. He is NOT likeable at all, only his most rabid supporters would want to even have a cup of coffee with him, he doesn't attract disaffected Dems, Indies, blacks, the young, blue collar workers, Hispanics, or any of the Trump supporters.
There is NO way that Cruz cam win, let alone make blue states a fight, as Trump can/shall do, or even purple states.
Cruz lost the primaries in the south, he's going to lose the Middle Atlantic states' primaries and New England too.
Ted didn't even win his home state's primary with 50% or more!
I understand that you and your ilk here can't take the truth, refuse to accept reality, and FACTS are like a cross and/or Holy Water to a Vampire, to you all.
So go head and refute this post, but NOT using fantasy, nor your day dreams.
I post facts, but it doesn't ever seem to get through to some posters here.
No, I have it on the best authority-—conservative news babes and Cruzer metrosexuals on FR: Wisconsin will be Trump’s Waterloo.
Hoft should start calling himself The Trump Pundit.
Don’t need 50% of the vote just need plurality of the Delegates.. Ted needs 83%of the delegates.. Trump needs 56%. Neither will get there.. Cruz can.. Trump isn’t smart enough at the delegate game and the rules...
You are intelligent nor educated enough to figure this stuff out, so you should refrain from posting.
So you are saying Cruz is the same as McCain. That is some funny shiite right there
Because of the establishment
WOW, did not want to take the licks so you stayed out of the fray.
Typical of you "wanna be free" from the tyrannical government people that when the shot is fired they will not be found. Talk talk talk.
Kinda reminds me of Trump in a way. A million promises that will not be fulfilled when elected.
Another slap jawed yankee carpet bagger with a bag of dirty lies to spread.
Not so funny as people who even now think that campaigning against the only front runner will create anti-establishment unity.
There is no possible way for anyone else to end up the front runner.
A vote against Trump at this point is half a vote for amnesty.
Keep living in fantasy land.
Obviously facts and logic ruins your wishful thinking.
I took my licks earlier. Still not recovered financially.
Finances on a thread.
So what was I supposed to do? Join some Tea Party email list and lose my house while achieving nothing? Mister Morally Superior. Gloves off then, pal. Too many Cruz supporters are sore losers. Cruz already lost on the campaign trail, but he should not give up, right? Come hell or high water.
The only thing Cruz is doing at this point is fouling the nest. It’s what sore losers do.
Pee in our punch bowls until we only have the Establishment Koolaid left.
I keep assuming that Cruz is fooling himself. Maybe if he explained his VAT plan better, but it’s already too late for him to win on the campaign trail.
“At this point, no Cruz supporter seriously expects him to walk into the convention with 1,237. Its all about Donald not getting to 1,237 and the resultant open convention.”
Exactly, this is nothing but Cruz working as part of the establishment GOP to keep Trump from getting the votes. Same with Kasich. He hasn’t a snowball’s chance in Hell yet he still keep trying to siphon off votes from Trump.
Wow, you got in the fight late. I was on the border in '01 before the melt downs trying to stem the flow protecting our Country and my family from being run over. Of course some of us do not think everything revolves around money.
God, family country. Do not see money in that line, Trumpbot.
But but but, according to the super sleuth cruzettes here, there’s a super secret plan in place that...shhhhhh, nobody can know about just yet - so we all have to wait for this sneaky little plan to be laid in place so that the loser aka lyin Ted can emerge the winner!
I want what their smoking!
Has Cruz opined that Kasich should drop out because he can’t win? Seems that he has multiple times.
If it becomes impossible for Cruz to win, will he drop out? I would guess not, which would make him a huge hypocrite. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong.
