Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife as endorser Carly Fiorina leaps in to insist a declaration that he's not an adulterer is a 'dance to Donald trump's tune'
Texas senator could put National Enquirer scandal to rest with a simple statement that he has never strayed in his 14-year marriage
Instead he has batted down the supermarket tabloid's speculative story about five alleged affairs in a more limited fashion
Carly Fiorina leaped in to intercept DailyMail.com's request for a blanket statement of marital fidelity and Cruz ultimately punted on the question
Fiorina pleaded for a return to discussing issues, but lobbed her own accusation at 'serial adulterer' Donald Trump
Cruz also challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate in Wisconsin on Tuesday night: 'Why don't you show up and debate like a man?'
Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.
'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'
The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.
Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.
But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

When NE posted this, it was Cruz who responded to it by attacking Trump for it. He could’ve simply ignored it
“I think he knows the other shoe is about to drop. The National Enquirer is not finished yet”
What I find intesting is that Trump threatend to drop the goods on Heidi. This story is all about the philandering of Ted Cruz.
According to that Gateway Pundit article Cruz paid “hush money” to Sarah Flores via Carly Fiorina.
I think that could be true http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3414540/posts
One guy tells the truth about it. One guy lies about it.
In my area HE played the pastors.
It is a valid political truism that one NEVER responds to slanders by repeating the charge from your own mouth even as part of a denial.
NEVER do it: it’s fatal. Lyndon Johnson’s famous adage was that if you can make your opponent say “I am not a drunkard”, you have the election in the bag.
Cruz is well advised not to give any more credibility to these slanders than they deserve, i.e. NONE AT ALL.
Trump is not hiding behind the Bible and pretending to be something he is not. Glenn Beck has been out there preaching the Gospel about Ted Cruz.
Watched the interview, have to agree with you.
He's desperately trying not to paint himself into a corner when the other shoe drops.
Typical "Way of the weasel" lawyer at work leaving himself a possible out.
They may not be even sure how much info the NE has.
He definitely deflected what should have been a simple question to answer directly.
Has to be a reason, he's not stupid.
Definitely. And here's a song that seems to describe Teddy Boy to a T: :)

Oh really, so Trump tells the truth. Your comments are still pathetic.
Is Trump, after all of his wife dumping and serial affairs, telling the truth when he says he doesn’t really look to God for forgiveness, is a STRONG Christian and reads the Bible more than anyone in the world.
If you can make those statements fit, you belong in politics alongside Trump. I could rip a 500-foot grand slam and slam dunk on those lying gems.
> Trump accuses people without proof and his supporters dont care.
> ==
> Some examples please.
Cruz has spent that past four days accusing Trump for a Nat’l Enq. article. Cruz has no proof of Trump involvement.
I know of no such man.
Yeah, it works for me.
1: Hyperbole is a Trump thing. It’s also a NYC thing; I’ve lived there and ‘No one is better X than me’ is a fairly common expression.
2: Trump, sadly, is stronger in certain aspects of the Christian faith, such as the Holy Supper, than most self-proclaimed Christians that I’ve met. But if he’s baptized and not currently engaged in intentional sin? I’ll call him a Christian.
3: Adultery is wrong. Did he repent of it between then and now? And don’t bring up that ‘I don’t need forgiveness’ interview unless you’re also going to bring up that he believes that he gets forgiveness in Holy Communion, which also took place in that interview. Which is, you know, 100% Biblically accurate.
4: CAPS LOCK MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A DALEK POSTING WITH TYPING RAGE. EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINAAAAAATE!
Oops, I don’t know why the YouTube link didn’t become a link. Oh well. :)
See post 371. It also applies to your comment. Square those comments with Trump’s behavior. Cruz is a choir boy compared to Trump’s indiscretions and worst of all, his phony Christian comments.
Oh my that is funny.
I think Beck knows what happened, he actually alluded to it. Basically Cruz did cheat many years ago but Heidi Cruz already forgiven Ted for it, so who are we to judge? What Beck probably don’t know is that there were multiple cheating, not just the 1
Cruz nor his campaign had nothing to do with the ad. TRUMP ADMITTED TO MULIPLE AFFAIRS HIMSELF. He was proud of sleeping with “many many high profile women, some you wouldn’t believe”. Does Cruz have to say he had nothing to do with what trump wrote about himself in his own book? This whole thing is worse than arguing with democrats.
