When the Ford Motor Co. decided to move jobs south to Mexico so that it could pay its workers less, billionaire businessman Donald Trump was furious. He made trade inequalities and Fords betrayal of American workers a central issue of his campaign.
And, without his even being in the Oval Office, it worked.
In an interview with CNBC, Ford CEO Mark Fields said that the automaker would be here to stay. He also said he had outlined his companys plans in a letter to Trump.

Amazing. Trump saving American jobs and he is not even President yet.
Leadership at its highest. Go Trump.
;>[)
He also said he had outlined his companys plans in a letter to Trump
How presidential!!
Dan Coats tried pleading with Carrier, but they flat out say their mind is made up. They’re outta here.
“While he didnt offer specifics about whether Ford would be rolling back its $2.5 billion expansion of the companys operations in Mexico, it was clear that Fields was committed to addressing Trumps complaints directly.”
So, nothing really changed except that they wrote Trump a letter.
So you think it’s good for the President to be making the decisions on how to run a company like Ford?
This is not 1980, when the country was still much more conservative.
And there’s no Iran crisis to give a 20 point lift.
I support Trump over Ted.
The fact is he is down anywhere from 6 to 18 points in the polls against Hillary.
Because the media is much worse than 1980, when gay marriage and transgenderism and other insanity were still taboo and the generations since are pathetic, in the majority.
And Sanders does even better against him.
20 plus million vote in the republican primaries.
the generals are 100 plus million and someone better dig up a strategy to fight the media.
I am frankly disgusted with the whole country, voting for Obama twice and leaving Hillary even in contention, no less giving sanders a lead.
leaves me lost
And when Trump is in the WH, Ford will likely bring their current Mexico production back to the USA.
TRUMP moron
GO TRUMP!!
A leader who isn’t even President yet! Trump truly cares about this country, unlike the other candidates!
That’s not really an announcement of anything. Nobody tied to Ford ever said they were leaving America, they were just expanding non-American facilities. Which they’re still doing.
I resemble the Cheshire Cat right now.
Time for some truth...if Trump didn’t get in
I’d say we’d be getting ready to hold our noses for Jeb
getting ready for unconditional amnesty
and watching jobs like this being shipped overseas
TRUMP moron
Yep, has no chance against Hillary in November...
