Donald Trump will no longer be allowed to call into NBC's signature Sunday news show "Meet The Press," according to a Sunday report in The New York Times.
"Meet The Press" moderator Chuck Todd told the Times on Friday that the frontrunner will have to appear in-person.
From the Times:
On Friday, Chuck Todd, the moderator of Meet the Press, told me he had only grudgingly allowed Mr. Trump to call in to his show earlier in the campaign, determining that he would rather have Mr. Trump take questions via phone than not at all.
Now, Mr. Todd said, he will no longer allow Mr. Trump to do prescheduled interviews by phone on the NBC program.
In the same report, Chris Wallace, host of Fox News' "Fox News Sunday," defended his decision to not allow Trump to make call-in interviews on his program. Wallace said he thought a potential "ratings hit" would be "a line worth holding."

He DOES not need you F. CHUCK TODD...RCP latest two polls CNN/ORC and CBS have Trump approaching 50%...he’s running for POTUS so he won’t be on your studio... he might treat you like he does FOX and only go on other networks that are not such imbeciles
have a nice next career chuck!
The radical left is soooo stupid, they do not know a gift horse when it is staring right at them. After all, the best they can do is Hillary...and Obama....and have no idea what country they live in.
sounds more like they are trying to silence him
Looks like you just gave away your biggest drawing card, Chucky boy...
why would you want to show up on Meet Depress?
Wow what a development. Let’s not use the modern age and interview people unless they are in the studio.
Imagine the trouble these “journalists” must be getting from their fellow democrats.
I give up.
Who is Chuck Todd?
Tard’s. The LSM’s time is UP!
this is fekkin bs.. allow the man to call..........
of course the MSM is doing their best to squelch the Voice of the The American People.
somebody needs to get out & starts demonstrating for free speech
Wonder who needs who the most, Chucky???
You too, Chrissy....
Oooohhhh!
I predict this is a Red Line in the sand, that will be moved back a little by the networks themselves. Trump will play one against cable news outlet against the other, then openly gloat about the ratings boost ‘he gave them.
I’m guessing the other candidates have been complaining that it was not fair.
Cryin’ Ted’s complaining is being responded to. Oh well, I guess Trump will have to just talk directly to the people. He’ll find away to get his message out
” Wallace said he thought a potential “ratings hit” would be “a line worth holding.””
Yeah... we get it.
Next, Todd will tell Trump that he’s being give a demerit..
Eff Chuck needs Trump’s ratings power much more than Trump needs Enn Bee Cee.
Donald Trump could pick a random name from the phonebook, call into that person to be interviewed, stream it live over the internet, most of the news media viewers would switch over to watch that instead.
I am so old that I can actually remember when Meet the Press used to be a worthwhile program to watch.
Trump has hit his phone ceiling.
