Nikki Haley’s attacks on Trump in her speech/rebuttal before the SC primary didn’t do much good for Cruz.
We are talking about the nomination, uniting the party and winning the general.
the constant trashing does not help.
“Attacking on issues and policy is not the same as the CONSTANT personal attacks.”
mafia ties and tax returns are personal.
Cruz being for amnesty (legal status) is policy.
Funny how you don’t see it when it’s your guy.
But the thing I don’t like about Cruz is he said he’d run the cleanest campaign, was the most conservative and Christian candidate *implied* - and is acting the opposite. Trump said he wasn’t going to be PC, never pretended to be otherwise so at least he’s kept to it. And even so he didn’t lie to voters right before a caucus about other candidates.
Trump hasn’t trashed the party. The party, including the establishment and the other candidates, have trashed Trump repeatedly. He’s trying to bring the party back to where it should be - and the others don’t like that he would expose the corruption.
This is exactly like the media and other candidates blaming Trump for the ‘protesters’, instead of looking at the real problem.
The party and other candidates could unite the party if they wanted to - they’re the ones tearing it apart.
What assumption did I make other than the story was not false that someone at a Cruz rally ran into some people of a religion that were not up on who is who....to a degree that was shocking to me - who wouldn’t know who Trump is? At least the one woman was curious.
I’m not going to get involved in argumentative speculation.
Have a nice Palm Sunday.
Yet another Cruzer following his or her leader in siding with the radical leftists. This sort of post is proof that at least some of his followers know that he has no intention of building a border wall or in taking a hard line against ISIS. So a border wall is a horrible thing if Trump calls for one in the eyes of Cruz supporters now. And ISIS is doing mass drowning in cages. That is not disputable, so attacking Trump for mentioning it is of course saying that criticizing ISIS for their murderous behavior is not acceptable.
A Cruzer is now defending Kasich as a great govenor of Ohio, and taking the line that bringing up Ohios wealth from fracking is horribly bad, because Kasich is just that phenomenal, no criticism of him is acceptable. Naturally, some Cruzers will even side with the Moveon types that W.s waterboarding was a horrible form of torture and anyone promoting it against terrorists is an evil person inciting violence from “peaceful” Marxist protestors.
Naturally, this is the rally in which a radical leftist tried to attack Trump, but the entire post is about building up sympathy for these “protestors” who have repeatedly tried to shout down Trump and stop him from exercising his First Amendment rights (so much for Cruzers as Constitutionalists). Of course, by acting like these radical disruptors, including a would-be attacker, are the victims, that is excusing in the most gross terms the illegal actions of the crazy leftists at that rally and the Chicago “protests” the night before.
I really am starting to believe from the evidence that some of the worse Cruz supporters would be just as damaging for this country as the radical leftists, because they are perfectly willing to side with the Marxists if they think it will help them take down anti-globalist, pro-broders, pro-American workers Trump. What are principles after all to winning at all costs?
At rallys Trump gives his followers an oath that they will vote for him no matter what. Those are images that any cult leader would be proud of.
Suggesting that Cruz lied constitutes The Big Lie in this campaign.
I suppose the Trump campaign earns propaganda kudos for a Goebbels-like success in making such an absurd charge stick. But I'm really shocked that so many FReepers succumbed to it.
It's evident that, should the Cruz campaign eventually fail, its demise can be traced back to Iowa and the total misrepresentation of events surrounding what was actually a Carson campaign mis-step.
As a consequence, a good man was brutally smeared. And millions of otherwise good conservatives hoodwinked...
It will go down in history as a propaganda coup.
It’s tRump and his supporters who side with Move On and the Code Pinkos in claiming that Bush lied to get us into the war.
you continue to make the fallacy that I have only been for Cruz.
the constant twitter trashing is obvious. Trump is going to have to rely on his dem allies
I have no problem with Cruz campaigning with either one of them. Not a fan of Glenn Beck but not because he is a Mormon.
Did I ask if you are a Mormon ? Reread the post. You did not answer the questions.
Now a Cruz supporter is trying to convince everyone that the South only voted for Trump because Southerners are racists. Why do so many Cruz supporters here sound exactly like radical left-wingers?
Here let me correct what you wrote:
Cruz wins in states with hardly any people (except for his home state). Populated states where a lot of people vote reject him, even the overwhelmingly white ones that typically he does best in where hardly any minorities vote. (As an aside, wasn’t it entertaining how Trump easily beat Cruz with Cuban voters in Florida according to exit polls?)
I live in one of the most conservative parts of the state.
This is anecdotal, but I have not met any neighbors voting for Cruz here in Utah. Have not seen any yard signs either.
They must be there, but we have not met any.
Everyone I talked to here said they though Cruz was creepy.
It isn’t too hard to figure out whata Cruz stands for just look at who is backing him, ALL GOPe!
I don’t believe anyyones prophecy that anyone will “save”. I also don’t believe the Donald’s supporters that he will “save” the country.
All religions have there issues and things I strongly disagree with, some more than others.
I don’t like Beck because he’s too much of a drama queen for my taste. Like the Donald, how much of this is for show, I don’t know. Mark Levin likes Beck and I like Mark so Beck must be okay when he’s in social situations.
Here's a list of the states where the Republicans got the majority of the popular vote in the 2012 presidential election, in the order of the GOP's dominance:
Utah -- 73%
Wyoming -- 69%
Oklahoma -- 67%
Idaho -- 65%
West Virginia -- 62%
Arkansas -- 61%
Alabama -- 61%
Kentucky -- 60%
Nebraska -- 60%
Kansas -- 60%
Tennessee -- 60%
North Dakota -- 58%
South Dakota -- 58%
Louisiana -- 58%
Texas -- 57%
Montana -- 55%
Alaska -- 55%
Mississippi -- 55%
South Carolina -- 55%
Indiana -- 54%
Missouri -- 54%
Arizona -- 54%
Georgia -- 53%
North Carolina -- 51%
Most of states at the top of the list are Cruz states. Trump's wins have been impressive, but it's kind of surprising how low some of his states are on this list. South Carolina and Georgia, for example, aren't nearly as Republican as a lot of people might think.
Great news!
