Cruz has to disavow it for his own benefit.

I guess Glenn Beck calling him names got to him. Wonder what the deal would be.

Honestly, I cannot believe Cruzers can be so naive as to think that any establishment brokered deal will work to his benefit.

There are three men left in the race, and two places on the ticket.

Seriously, look into your heart. Who do you really think is going to be left out?

Oh, my, ‘dealing’ going on now... who has the ‘trump card’? Bunch of holy roller hypocrites.

DeLay: “It’s a long way from over. I did the calculations this morning. Trump is the only one that can get the majority of the delegates, but he has to win at least 600 out of 900 that are remaining.

DeLay needs to improve upon his math skills. Trump is at 694

So 1237 - 694 = 543, not 600

Dear friend Judy, you are on a roll in these early morning hours!

Cruz can make this a two man race any time he wants. All he has to do is pledge that his delegates will go to Trump if Trump is ahead of him in the delegate count at the convention.

Under such a scenario, there is no justification for Kasich remaining in the race. None at all.

Cruz get's his one-on-one.

I don’t see Cruz agreeing to that unless Trump reciprocated - which he won’t.

What is to keep Trump and Kasich from working a deal?

Maybe Kasich could become the Postmaster General in a Trump administration

“What is to keep Trump and Kasich from working a deal?”

I think Kasich could have some position in Trump’s cabinet, though I’m not sure what it would be.

As VP he would help secure the crucial state of OH, but I’m not sure he’s the right fit.

Cruz wouldn’t do ANYTHING to benefit Mr. Trump. I was just reading on Breitbart that Cruz is going right along with the whole blaming Trump for inciting violence meme. That is just so sleazy - I don’t know how anyone doesn’t see him for the slimy politician he is. Having said that, my apologies if you’re a Cruzer! lol

Early morning hours are due to COUGHING that won’t stop. Very annoying.

The only thing that could be going through Cruz's mind is the possibility of the establishment grudgingly arriving at the conclusion that if they put up a Ryan or Kasich or Romney type of nominee, millions of GOP-registered Trump and Cruz voters will leave the party en masse, greatly diminishing their power. And that they'd they'd lose far fewer voters if they nominated Cruz instead. It's a longshot, but his only shot. That's what keeps him in the race.

Fwiw, Trump beat Cruz by approx 1700 votes in MO, but won the delegate count 37 to 15

Most would agree that Trump’s base is the broadest and most intense (as evidenced by his massive turnouts and having 7.5M votes vs Cruz’s 5.5M votes vs Kasich’s 2.7M votes), therefore screwing Trump out of the nomination if he has less than 1237 heading into the convention would be suicide for the GOP from POTUS, Senate, House and the state level. A heck of a lot of Trump voters will not show up if they feel screwed by the GOPe, including the blue collar Dem crossovers and first time voters, etc. The intensity will fall off a cliff. I think the Republican party has a better chance of winning as a populist party, especially with the Dems having moved so far left. Times change.

Its in Cruz interest to join Trump instead of trying to sabotage it with attempts to court GOPe. This strategy will not work well for Cruz

What’s a stronger ticket?
#1 and #2 joining forces or
#2 and #4

I’ve seen Trump as holding no grudges against the other candidates, saying it is just the reality of politics. He will judge the candidates objectively for their value to his administration. Their ability to tell the truth may be a big reason to disqualify them from his team. You cannot have someone as critical to the success of your administration if they cannot be trusted.

I'm beginning to come to that conclusion as well. Traditional conservatism, alas, is all but dead.

Someone really need to talk to Cruz about this. Screwing Trump out of the final ticket is not a wise decision. Its better for Conservatives if Cruz join his ticket to keep him honest

If its a Cruz / Kasich ticket, they’re going to lose to Hillary because Trump voters won’t show up
