Who really cares if it either event was foreseeable or not. The bottom line is that in both cases the victim of evil is being blamed.

Of course they did, Cruz basically is sharing talking points with the left on this. He’s a fraud.

You could say the same thing of Trump considering he loses virtually every poll in a head to head with Cruz. (by double digits)

Sorry, misread your comment. Yes, you could say that, but you would be equally wrong as you would have been had you said what I thought you said. Were it not for Trump, the establishment would have absolutely no problem denying Cruz the nomination. He simply lacks any support outside of a relatively small subset of voters, and there is absolutely no chance, realistically, that he will gain traction outside of this group. Even if he were to win the nomination, and were to win the presidency (a monumental task for someone who has no appeal, and well-documented lapses in ethical judgment), his lack of public support would make it far too easy for the establishment to make his Presidency, effectively, a four year lame duck Presidency.

Just note. A portion of the Panhandle of Florida is in the Central zone.

The river mist be deeper there. When it gets drought-y, you can walk alone the riverbed, my friends in Waterville and I used to back in the late 70’s.

Many out this way HATE Chicago and have been pissed for a very long time that the city dominates all politics in this state. Who knows, maybe this time will be different.

Yes and that was graphically illustrated when Bruce Rauner was elected governor in 2014. He carried every single county in the state EXCEPT Cook County. And he only won by like 4 points or so.

The problem is that there already are trade barriers in the form of restrictions, prohibitions on American products, etc. So what you CAN do with tariffs is force open other markets. That’s how tariffs were used for years.

It’s only welfare if it’s used to bolster the income of American workers-—but it may have that effect, the same way that a trade EMBARGO, such a that Jefferson imposed, increases the prices on American consumers.

The goal is true free trade-—although Washington and Hamilton maintained (and I agree) that some industries simply must be protected because we need them for defense. For Washington and Jefferson, that was iron and textiles. I would argue today that would be steel, aircraft to some degree, and shipbuilding.

Do you support single-payer health care?
Do you support Planned Parenthood?
Do you support bans on assault weapons?
Do you support government bailouts?
Do you support higher taxes on the wealthy?
Do you support eminent domain for private acquisitions?
Do you identify as a democrat?
Do you believe our economy does better under democrats?
Do you believe liberal, pro-late-term-abortion judges would make excellent Supreme Court justices?
Do you support crony capitalism?
Have you changed your political affiliation 4-5 times?
Did you support Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama in any of their campaigns?
Do you believe Hillary Clinton is an excellent negotiator?

If you answered “No” to any of these, why would you support Donald Trump?

Depends on the poll. Last I saw (Quinnipiac) Trump was up in OH, was up about six in Illinois, and as up safely in Missouri. I’m not ready to give him OH, but he’ll win the other four.

Because a lot of that is selective spin on Trump’s various positions or just simple anti-Trump propaganda.
