My direct ancestors came some time early to mid 1600s, and never left Virginia until they came to DC about 1918.
I’ve always felt that Maryland, Virginia, and DC (my birthplace) are all my ‘home states’ ;-)

Ted Cruz hoped to ride the wave of DNC/RNC agitprop denouncing Trump for the horrendous Chicago violence all the way to the nomination. But Trump cancelled his rally, the violence wasn't all that horrendous, and none of it could be blamed on Trump or his supporters. The media did their best, but there simply wasn't enough blood in the streets.

Thankfully, Carson has seen the light and so has Sessions and they’re backing Trump.
Cruz has let his ambition get the better of him and has lost it. He’s been thoroughly indoctrinated, corrupted and absorbed by those we’re fighting against. He’s now fighting with the GOP and the establishment political class against We the people.
And unfortunately, some of our very own have been unwittingly sucked into the GOPe vortex.

They rarely mention Cruz. Democrats know he is going nowhere.
I just think of all the Candidates he would be the most likely to follow the Constitution of the United States, and that he has the sand to take a stand and refuse to sign off on crap that is over the line. He has a track record of taking a stand, which isn't popular with the GOPee in DC because it really messes with bidness as usual: the ordinary Dem/Pubbie vote trading that advances the bank accounts of those in office and the national debt at the same time.
I'm sure wanting to play by the rule book pisses off a lot of people on both sides, which is why he isn't liked there.
But y'all go on and elect Miss Popularity there in the good old U S of A there. Just don't let him run the excavator.

He's nuttier than a craphouse rat. He's in the process of serial lying about Trump's positions. He delivers a speech like Eleanor Roosevelt with a bad cold. His suit fits like it was fitted by a funeral parlor. And all he did was talk about Donald. He's a lightweight.
As far as I am concerned this primary race is over with Trump wining the nomination. If Cruz and Kasich had any class, which they don’t, they would end their campaigns and back Trump.
