Rubio's campaign tells Ohio supporters to vote for Kasich

Marco Rubio’s campaign says supporters of the Florida senator should back John Kasich in Ohio on Tuesday if they want to stop Donald Trump.

“If you are a Republican primary voter in Ohio and you want to defeat Donald Trump, your best chance in Ohio is John Kasich,” Alex Conant, Rubio’s communications director, told CNN.

“The same is true here in Florida,” Conant said, emphasizing that Rubio is the candidate best positioned to beat the real-estate mogul in the state’s primary Tuesday for its 99 winner-take-all delegates.

“Yes, my answer is John Kasich is the one candidate in Ohio that can beat Donald Trump,” Conant said when pressed on whether he was asking Rubio supporters to back Kasich in the governor’s state. “That’s stating the obvious.”

Would you please stop spreading that Establishment created deception - even now Trump is pulling more votes then the democrats from ALL Demographics in the primary races. Up to 22 times more GOP votes this election then Dems. That’s called OBJECTIVE real world data not the fake polls the GOPe is pushing.

[If Trump called him and offered Lil’ Marco some kind of cushy cabinet or agency gig, Rubio would probably turn like a snake and be Trump’s biggest advocate by this time tomorrow.]

Trump can make him Ambassador to Cuba....

-- Was there a Jeb, Rubio, Cruz, Kasich meeting? --

The rumor was that a meeting was scheduled, and it was scheduled for a day certain (I don't recall if it was yesterday or the day before). I don;t know of any press inquiries, so there are no confirmations or denials that I am aware of.

Rubio's suggestion, reported in the OP, gives the appearance an agreement of some sort was reached, even if it was the result of phone calls and not a meeting.

Just saying, I don't see "meeting or not" as relevant except for joking purposes. What is important is the suggestion by a candidate, to implement the #NeverTrump plan.

I don’t want to stop Trump, Marco, you little coward.

I want to stop the GOP.

To Hell with them, and to Hell with you.

Since Trump will more than likely be the nominee, the only conclusion I can draw about the ABTers is that they’re for the beast.

-- Kasich spox Rob Nichols on Rubio news: "We were going to win in OH without his help, just as he's going to lose in FL w/o ours" --

Now that is funny, right there.

Let’s just cut to the chase.

Vote Trump in Florida.
Vote Trump in Ohio.

Winning!

It sounds like Rubio realizes he is going to lose Florida so is at least trying to get some kudos from the establishment for hurting Trump in Ohio. Trump will be in good shape as long as he gets either FL or OH. It looks like FL will happen for him.

Well that’s what we do in the general election—Just stop Obama. Just stop Bill Clinton. Just stop Hillary.

Rubio’s political career is over. It’s likely he’s going to end up a campaign contribution bundler.

Voters who for some reason wanted to cast their vote for Rubio will make up their own minds on who to vote for now. Rubio's instructions to "his" supporters are as worthless as his candidacy.

I suspect that the type of people who would be voting for Rubio, are actually the same type of people who will not make up their own minds, but will listen to those who tell them who to vote for.

Haha. This must be a result of Jeb’s last ditch effort to be relevant. I guess the plan is to plot a brokered convention to pull out an old has been like Romney. Or maybe Jeb, they are disillusioned enough to think that Jeb can beat Hillary.

Just another example of how out of touch establishment republicans are. They think we’ll like their little shenanigans to win and hold on to power at any cost. Screw the voters as long as they stay in power.

We know private obvious.

His contributions are nothing compared to other private individuals, PACS and Corporations that have kept the same unity party in place for 30 plus years.

If people are happy with it, great vote anyone other than Trump.
