Cruz wins in Idaho

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is projected to win the Idaho primary.

NBC News called the race for Cruz just before midnight Eastern — less than an hour after polls closed in the state. Fox News called it moments later.

The state’s result was in great doubt leading into Tuesday's primary because of a lack of polling in the state. Most pundits had shied away from making a prediction.

The Texas senator was endorsed by Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), an influential member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus.

Idaho awards 32 delegates on a proportional basis.

it is 50% of the vote, not delegates

You are wrong. it is 50% or more of the delegates. Cruz may take all the delegates and beat Trump overall for the day, just as he did last week!

Are you really so blind that you don’t understand the Bible at all — ALL OF THE PEOPLE YOU CITE ADMITTED THEIR SIN AND REPENTED?

Donald Trump has dumped two wives for mistresses, been a serial adulterer, owned a strip club — BUT HE SAYS HE NEEDS LITTLE FORGIVENESS FROM GOD. Wow, what a prideful man.

He says he’s a strong Christian and reads the Bible more than anyone. Anyone who reads the Bible much would not talk the way he does, but you apparently are blinded by Trump. I suppose it would be OK for him to murder a man, too — and you and the folks would stick with him.

Cruz victory thread.

I suggest we congratulate, and make ourselves scarce.

But that's just me. :)

Oh my gosh. Really? And he is bragging? Lord that even makes me dislike Cruz even more. I thought he won all 9 and was bragging. If I had those stats I would never mention them. He is a fraud at the highest order. I despise him. I understand now why his colleagues hate him.

Thanks, I went and read it myself just now.

(You mean just because I read something on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true???)

Yes, he did. But...did it really DO anything? No. It didn’t do a darned thing.

We got Obamacare. It was all theatrics. If you don’t actually get any results, what is the point?

I know you love your guy, more power to you, but Cruz just isn’t going to change a thing.

And now that he is taking the GOP money, it shows what a sellout he is. Sorry, but it is just the truth.

Just read and quoted the January 2016 Idaho Republican manual

“(c) If any candidate receives more than fifty percent (50%) of the total vote cast for all

15

candidates in the Republican presidential primary, all delegates available to Idaho under the

16

Rules of the Republican National Committee shall be apportioned to that candidate. “

We are all sinners - each and every one of us. so, get off your holier-than-thou horse.

You want to get mouthy, fine, pal. You’re choosing a low-character man devoid of integrity. Thanks for making a lousy choice for your fellow Americans.

If we have to endure the curse of Trump, I hope you enjoy seeing him come off the campaign trail this summer to testify in his federal fraud case in San Diego. Slime will follow Trump wherever he goes.

I am just going by the January 2016 Idaho Republican manual

If you have a newer version to reference then maybe you are correct

But they did hold a caucus in 2012 which would probably use the wording delegate instead of votes, since caucuses can work differently

We're not voting for a church elder.

We're looking for someone to clean the dead raccoons out of the basement.

“But how many of those 175K are Republicans ? “

If they legally voted in a Republican primary then all of them.

You make not like that but it is true

And Rubio used to be a Mormon. A Mormon/Catholic/Baptist can’t win in Idaho. Probably can’t win anywhere.
