PPP's newest Ohio poll finds a very close race on the Republican side- with Donald Trump slightly ahead but perhaps more reasons within the numbers to think that John Kasich will end up winning the state.
Trump leads with 38% to 35% for Kasich, 15% for Ted Cruz, and just 5% for Marco Rubio. The race is pretty fluid though, with only 69% of voters saying they're committed to their current choice, and 31% saying they might change their minds between now and next Tuesday.
If voters do change their minds- especially supporters of Cruz and Rubio who appear to have little chance of being competitive in the state- Kasich is likely to be the beneficiary. Kasich leads Trump 55/40 if voters had to choose just between the two of them. Rubio voters move to Kasich 75/16 over Trump, Cruz voters do so 69/25, and undecideds would pick him 54/11 if Kasich and Trump ended up being the two candidates they chose between. Kasich is also by far the most broadly popular of the candidates in Ohio with a 70/22 favorability rating- only Trump at 48/44 is also on positive ground among the remaining candidates. If more strategic voting happens in the next week, Kasich is likely to be the beneficiary.

With questions about the KKK, Mussolini and Scalia’s death LOL!
For what it’s worth:
“Public Policy Polling surveyed 638 likely Republican primary voters and 508 likely Democratic primary voters between March 4th and 6th. The margin of error is +/-3.9% for the Republicans and +/-4.4% for the Democrats. 80% of participants, selected through a list based sample, responded via the phone, while 20% of respondents who did not have landlines conducted the survey over the internet through an opt-in internet panel. “
They are throwing the kitchen sink at him that’s for sure. My gosh they act like he’s evil. He literally just simply want to make our country win again. He’s right. We win nothing. We have lost in everything for 30 years. Trump asks what have we won? We lose wars, we lose in education, we lose on trade, we lose in health care. We lose in manufacturing. We are losing everywhere and only trump emphasizes this. What is wrong with Cruz and the GOPe?
Agree. Don and Erick are both great.
You got that right.
The D voters are realizing their party has two yuge losers and are not accepting them.
Love to see both Bush and Clinton crushed in 2016 with Romney as a bonus.
I find it hilarious that the two youngins are sick. By the way, I am gen x and would love to see my generation take over, but Cruz and Rubio are not ready. Maybe in 2024, gen x can take over. This is only the 4th boomer president.....Clinton, bush, Obama and trump. We have plenty of time.
I just hope Kasich loses so he will drop out. He was gleeful the other day talking about a brokered convention possibility, saying that is real politics.
Yeah I heard Kasick say that. I am shocked the GOPe picked Cruz over Kasick actually. Probably can get more out of Cruz they are thinking. Kinda makes you wonder about that.
Looking at the history on this race. Trump didn’t lead in Ohio till recently.
If this is true than K-sick has lost 5 points in two days - nice But in reality this is just PPP - they only do truthful polls in the final weeks so people don’t remember trash like this.

While the GoPee are praying, they are also working on their VOTER FRAUD !

If Kasich can’t win his home state, he’s done. Then Trump should give careful consideration to offering him the VP slot, securing Ohio in the general.
Kasich is just playing the spoiler. He can’t win any other state. If he’d drop out and endorse Trump, he might get VP or cabinet post.
Thank you for the comments PTL.
There’s a lot at stake here.
That generally means folks are willing to take steps to ensure their desires prevail.
Stay tuned...
Perception has a large influence on these contests. If Michigan comes in close to what is predicted by the polls, Trump will have a psychological advantage coming into Ohio. The tens of millions of dollars in negative ads almost certainly will take some type of toll on Trump however.
you seen the AD;s running in FL? It is disgraceful,. I saw 3 AD’s right after each other attacking trump with lies.
The GOP has gone all out to take him down.
The GOPe, China, illegals etc. have been robbing America and Americans blind . So that's why these are scared that Trump is going to stop their scamming of America.
Trump is the only one for America and Americans. Trump is tired of America being taken advantage of by illegals and all of these powers that be including China.
Hope Trump can pull it off for us the American people
If I was a Cruz supporter, I’d vote for Kasich in the Ohio primary.
Anyone know what Trumps effort in Ohio?
Roger Stone said on Infowars a week or so ago, he had organized teams to go into places, and esp Ohio, with activists, IT people, lawyers etc.
He said he was hoping for donations so they could do more.
Yesterday I saw the following on Reddit:
Former campaign adviser to Donald Trump and bad ass, Roger Stone, is running the Trump Ballot Security Project.
They will especially be active in Florida and Ohio, will have teams of experts and volunteers making sure voter fraud is dealt with.
Hes asking: VOTER IRREGULARITIES in Kansas?

I saw the same thing... I was thinking that every brokered convention Republicans have had in modern times has resulted in a loss to the Demonrats. Not something Kasich should be all that gleeful about.
