Mitt Romney won’t rule out accepting GOP nomination at contested convention

Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, refused Sunday to rule out becoming the nominee again this year at a brokered convention, though he insisted he couldn’t imagine that happening.

“I don’t think anyone in our party should say, ‘Oh no, even if the people of the party wanted me to be president, I would say no to it.’ No one is going to say that,” Mr. Romney said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

They don’t care. They will all keep their little blogging jobs and their consultant jobs and their beach houses. They don’t care about the Party itself, they sure don’t care about the voters.

That’s why I have said for 8 months we need Trump. Only he is “outside” enough to fumigate this party.

Just exactly who wants Romney as the GOP presidential candidate going up against Hillary? —other that perhaps Hillary, who knows she could beat Romney in her sleep.

If they can get Trump out, they will remove Cruz in a heartbeat

Why does Mr. Cruz think Beck is a friend?

Rubio probably telling a dirty joke and Willard is laughing along with it and trying to be one of the boys...just as he laughed and giggled at the dirty jokes of Clint Eastwood during the convention...

They don’t really have to get rid of Trump or Cruz, they can just make sure neither gets enough delegates to win.

Romney is a phony prop, who just happened to fit the insider candidate appearance profile.

Now remember, they got all the candidates to promise to support the NOMINEE.

It was funny when it was worded, as I look for carve outs from politicians.

They didn’t ask them to promise to support the FRONT RUNNER or the guy with the MOST DELEGATES, it was worded to support the NOMINEE. I had a feeling then that the fix was in.

You can bet the GOP will nominate who they damn well please, and I reckon that will be Mitt at this point.

The guy keeps getting up and moving forward and taking all the shrapnel! Anyone would fold under this pressure.

This is the kind of man we need to lead us forward too!

The fact is, Romney had a chance to enter this race waaay back, but as he said in an interview, he thought Hillary was too strong. Now, we get news of the Hillary aid being granted immunity and Hillary is seen as weak, and Romney wants in. He couldn't even beat a weak Obama! He didn't even TRY

When Romney suggested backing Kasich or Rubio in states to stop Trump's delegate lead... Cruz was mentioned BARELY, almost under his breath at the end.

So the GOPe will use Cruz as much as they can to siphon delegates, and then discard him as well. They don't like Cruz - they don't like Trump. If they really liked Cruz and were genuine to get behind him, they would have already done so and wouldn't be throwing out this Romney thing. Nothing but desperation.

Trump totally respects Cruz' fighting spirit, and if it comes down to it - they should join forces and stop the circular firing squad and defeat the GOPe.

However, I believe Trump will have enough delegates anyway. Let's watch MI and MS closely though. Take nothing for granted.

Good!

I honestly don’t think the quest for blood from the GOP can be underestimated.

Threaten their livelihood (again) and I honestly believe it will bring another “War Between the States”. You see, Mr. Obama, of whom likens himself to another homo - Abe Lincoln, is bringing in as many foreigners as possible.

Learn to grow food.

Ha!

If they continue to battle each other, the the Establishment will stick in Mitt Romney. That means Hillary becomes the next POTUS. All the reason why Trump and Cruz better work out a deal.

They come together then WE WIN and the Establishment loses.

8 years Trump and 8 years Cruz. It will probably take that long to undo what Obama and the Democrats have done.

I know they don’t see eye to eye, but they both can knock out the Establishment/Globalist together.
