On the Fox News Channel's Super Tuesday coverage, GOP presidential candidate Florida Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% stated that fellow candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% had a "bad night" on Super Tuesday and wondered, if Cruz "cannot sweep on Super Tuesday...where in this country is he going to win?" While he would win Florida and "other winner take all states." Rubio added that he wouldn't get out even if he didn't win Florida and plans to campaign in all 50 states.
Rubio said, "I think the analysis has to be re-calibrated here. First of all, this is the proportional stage of the campaign. So, no one is taking home all of these delegates. Not even Ted Cruz in Texas, who, by the way, tonight was supposed to be Ted Cruz's big night. You never heard my campaign say that we were going clean house on Super Tuesday. ... He ended up winning his home state, and sharing delegates. And the neighboring state of Oklahoma, and sharing delegates."
He continued, "On the other hand, you look at Virginia, a state where we were down 20 points in the polls...we basically fought Donald Trump to a draw, despite having to share the ballot with a number people that probably took votes away, and we're going to leave there with as many delegates as he has. And we don't just have a significant number of delegates there, but in multiple states....

Cruz won the biggest state by a pretty big margin. And he won the only CLOSED primary held so far! Next week will be the big story of who will win—Trump or Cruz.
Closed primaries and winner take all states are voting. It will be YUUUGE. Rubio should quit after losing Florida.
In a two person race Cruz out performs Trump, but that can change between now and a two man race. Plus the GOPe will be playing tricks to keep the delegates from going to Trump or Cruz so they can have a brokered convention. Look for Romney to jump in to pull in delegates from California and other states.
I also just realized that Arkansas was a closed primary, which Trump won.
The latest Cruzer meme “We always win Closed Primaries, so therefore we’ll win more moderate states!” goes burning down right away.
I agree that the map doesn’t look great for Cruz moving forward, but Rubio’s only path forward is a miracle, or a fix.
Even Mika Buzzhhhinski on today’s Morning Joe scoffed at Bluebio’s claims that Trump and Cruz “underperformed”.
She said, “How can he say that when he came in last!”
lol
Stay in all the way Rubio. You too Kasich.
all I want is one on-air reporter to ask Rubio what his definition of Natural Born Citizen is, and how he feels he fills the definition
I’m not sure where Rubio votes go though. Do they stay home? Go to Kasich, Trump, or Cruz?
My guess most would go to Kasich with Cruz the 2nd most, but a lot will stay home.
Cruz did not do as bad as I was led to believe he would. Same for Rubio, who until recently, just seemed sweet, but wrong on politics. Now he is just nasty and wrong.
He’d say Natural born means you became a citizen by birth and didn’t need to be naturalized.
Regardless of the definition you want to use that is the one most people accept and will be fine with.
I read an interesting analysis that said both Cruz and Rubio will do better in the West and in the upcoming closed primaries. Dems have been voting in big numbers for Trump in the open primaries - supposedly, about 30% of his voters are Dems.
So we shall see.
Trump gave money to Hillary, he must like her...
His home state, and by historically small margins. Bush beat McCain in Texas with 88 percent of the vote.
And he won the only CLOSED primary held so far!
Cruz didn't win Arkansas, which was a closed primary.
In a two person race Cruz out performs Trump
This is a myth pushed by Cruzers using old and poorly made polls.
Yep. If Trump really thinks Hillary can be bought why isn’t anyone saying she was paid by trump to lose? No one is saying that, in fact, some are saying the opposite that Trump is a Clinton plant.
So was he just throwing money away? Or did he agree with her policies? If he’s throwing money away he’s not a good businessman. If he agrees with her policies...well...
Where does the concept of “taking votes away” come from? Did he buy them, does he own them?
Ok then show me the polls where Trump wins head-to-head over Cruz.
And apply your same rules to those polls.
Minnesota Marco is the Republican equivalent of Baghdad Bob
psstt, Little Marco, third place really isn’t winning, even though the media tell you it is.
It really isn’t.
Before laughing at Cruz, it looks like you only got a participation trophy.
How close was it in Arkansas?
Shouldn’t Cruz want Rubio to lose Florida if he wants to win? These guys play checkers
