A super PAC supporting Marco Rubioâs presidential campaign raised $2.5 million in January, including $1 million from tech billionaire Larry Ellison, according to a report filed Saturday with the Federal Election Commission.
The donation from Ellison, the executive chairman of Oracle Corporation, brings his total spending on behalf of Rubio to $4 million, making him among the top donors of the 2016 cycle.
Conservative Solutions PAC spent nearly $11 million last month, mostly on ads and direct mail attacking Rubioâs rival for the Republican presidential nomination Ted Cruz and his former rival Chris Christie, who has since dropped out.
The PAC finished January with $5.6 million in the bank, though it has continued spending heavily since then, dropping $9.6 million on ads opposing Cruz, John Kasich and Jeb Bush, according to daily advertising filings.

Looking at the results in South Carolina it appears that Rubio is the best positioned to win the nomination right now all you need to do is look at the other candidates and what would happen if they dropped out of the race
I don’t want him as our candidate

Not if Cruz drops out. Trump would pick up the vast majority of Cruz voters.
Lol, what a pos. My ex worked with Ellison, the man is honestly insane. He is clueless, other than the cheap labor, which you identified correctly. I detest the little chump, him and his weird facial expressions drive me nuts!
I worked with him too, in the ‘90’s. Larry is a maniac, arrogant, rather sociopathic, but a genius. Would not surprise me if he runs for president himself some day.
You probably know my ex :)
Yes, Larry is really quite the odd ball - I may have a different interpretation of genius, but I get your point.
He isn’t going to do that
The new establishment darling
