On the eve of the South Carolina primary Cruz insiders are reportedly privately beginning to fear that a big loss to Donald Trump would signal more defeats in the SEC states. CNN reported:
What if the firewall crumbles?
Thatâs the worry of a growing number of people close to Ted Cruzâs campaign, who are privately beginning to fear that a big loss in South Carolina to Donald Trump on Saturday could signal more defeats to come in the so-called SEC states that are the lynchpin of Cruzâs strategy.
âIf theyâre pretty far back from Trump and they canât get southern conservative evangelicals in South Carolina, I do think theyâre probably going to have a hard time elsewhere,â said Erick Erickson, a conservative writer in touch with Cruzâs team. âI sense a real fear from people that if Trump blows everybody out of the water in South Carolina, that he is suddenly unstoppable.â

In winner take all states, winning with 30% of the vote gets you ALL the delegates. The winner take all states will show up big come Super Tuesday. Trump could very well have the nomination locked up by then barring dirty tricks by the RNC/GOPe.
From your keyboard ...
You mean ‘ad’ hominem, yes?
That and Beck knocking on doors. I'd be scared to vote for whomever that flake is pushing if I answered the door too.
As other folks have left the race, Trumps numbers increased from 32-36 to 36 to 42.
Thanks for injecting facts into oil’s wishful thinking.
Do you strike out at CRuzers who do the exact thing you accused that poster of doing? Just curious.
Why CRuz EVER hitched his wagon to that jack wagon/loon Beck, is a mystery, to me. Bad advice from CRuz, Sr??
Man this is the silly season here.
Jane, ultimately it was Cruz who made the decision to partner with Beck...a partnership that he continues to embrace.
That in itself provides an insight into his faux “superior intellect”.
Add Cruz’s support of Corker’s bill that gave nukes to Iran, not only is his intellect questionable but his loyalty & allegiance to America and support of Israel as well.
Honestly, I have not seen any “CRuzers” do this exact same thing. And calling out a troll is not striking out.
Lol. Seriously? You haven’t seen any CRuzers say/do what you accused the other poster of?
I was waiting for you to say that.
Thank you, dp. Politics is dirty, but some make it even worse!
Hey, if you have a good sauce recipe for gnocchi, let me know! I’m thinking about making a big batch - it freezes well, if I remember correctly. Freeze before cooking, that is. A variety of sauces would go well!
politics is dirty. What was said to you was worse.
And i’m still REALLY mad about it.
I work overnight so i’m hitting the hay :)
You will have a great gnocchi sauce by the end of the day :)
Cruz has zero problems.
According to the WSJ faux poll, posted about ten times this week, Trump is fading and Cruz is surging/soaring to another clear victory!
Now! Now! They are not panicking due to the faux NBC/WSJ polls show that Trump is falling like a meteor and their guy is soaring to Victory.

I actually think Cruz is a better man than heâs looked for a couple of weeks.
He must be getting TERRIBLE advice.
Besides Beck, has he surrounded himself with some of Jebe’s fleeing experts?
Then show me one who has put up same cut-and-paste post, to every thread, 7 times in 3 hours, or the exact same graphic on every Trump/Cruz thread 10 times in one day. If you can I will call them out also.
You wait is over.
Oh, yeah, soccer balls are such a HUGE incentive. \s
Yes, the phone is a pain that way.
