Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, a leading voice on trade, immigration and executive powers, is urging Americans to choose their next president carefully because 2016 "is the last chance for the American people to take back control of their government."
In a sober interview with Secrets, the Republican warned that liberal special interests, Wall Street moguls, and international media conglomerates are fast turning the United States into just another member of the European Union and that the effort is being led by a Democratic president eager to go his own way with executive orders.
"This election is different because we have pell mell erosion of law, the constitutional order, where President Obama has pushed an agenda that eviscerates the immigration legal system, and pushed this trade agreement that will commence decades of transferring American economic power to an ever-expanding international commission. It's just not going to stop" unless voters take action, he warned.
"This is the way the European Union began," he added.

From your lips to God’s ears.
I am convinced that if Sessions doesn’t endorse Trump tomorrow, Trump will still be able to tap him for help once he is in office..
I believe that with everything in me.
Thanks for sharing. I have never heard of Glenda Jackson before. My prayers and hope is that God will have mercy on us and blesses this nation with the right person to become our next president. The thought of Obama extending his presidency sends shivers.
That would certainly be fantastic.
If Trump says that Sessions will be his mentor and leading advisor on implementing necessary changes on these issues, it wouldn't even take an endorsement. Constitutional Conservatives who are being mislead will finally "get it" and join us.
Heidi anywhere near the WH is an issue. With hillary, we see that First Lady can now be a stepping stone to the Presidency. Heidi’s resume is as bad as hillary’s at this stage in her life.
Obama is a Marxist. He just doesn't admit it and neither will the media. And...he was voted in twice. So yes, that proves that plenty of people WILL vote for a socialist.
The truth is, the entire democRat party is a Marxist regime.
I don't think you are off base at all. I also believe Trump will include Sessions in his cabinet once he is President.
I sound sure of myself, don't I!! It is because I know the trends in my home state, and Florida will be solid in the Trump column during the Primary on March 15th and in the General Election next November. I also know that no one goes to the White House without winning Florida! :)
My questions to my friends who are Cruz supporters are the following:
Why won't Cruz just get the issue put to rest?
If his having Canadian Citizenship did or does not matter, why did he give it up 15 months ago?
The reason I wish Cruz would settle this issue is because I will vote for WHOMEVER the Republican Nominee happens to be!
From what little I read, Sessions is being statesmanlike during this primary.
He sends his top aide to advise Trump, but rather than endorse, he makes a clear point of what issues matter to him before making an endorsement.
Far more influential — and a ‘sellout’ would be less likely to heap such conditions on his endorsement.
He also leaves the door open to Cruz just in case.
Unless ...
[... unless there’s something further down?]
I did a fair amount of work during this primary to track the eligibility debate — pitting top voices of each side against each other. Here’s the last one I tracked ...

Very long post [based on 14th amendment vindicating Cruz]
which was countered effectively IMHO.
Yes, Cruz would likely win in court. After that the debate festers.
In advance of the release of Congress 2015 year-end spending package, the office of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)is highlighting some terrorists who were recently granted access to the U.S. through the nation/s immigration system....thanks to Obama.
In an email to reporters, a Sessions aide listed more than 30 examples of immigrants admitted to the U.S. who were recently implicated in terrorist activities.
Sessions, the chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, and other conservative lawmakers have warned against passing a spending bill that does not place limitations on admissions â in particular Mideast refugee admission â to the U.S.
âCongress must cancel the Presidentâs blank refugee check and put Congress back in charge of the program. We cannot allow the President to unilaterally decide how many refugees he wishes to admit, nor continue to force taxpayers to pick up the tab for the tens of billions of unpaid-for welfare and entitlement costs,â Sessions and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL), the chairman of the Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations subcommittee, said in a joint statement last week.
The pair added that passing the spending deal without limiting language âwould put the U.S. on a path to approve admission for hundreds of thousands of migrants from a broad range of countries with jihadists movements over the next 12 months, on top of all the other autopilot annual immigration â absent language to reduce the numbers.â
The Sessions aide noted that the 30 examples are listed represented just a âpartialâ inventory of recently implicated terrorist migrants.
Read the list:
-A refugee from Uzbekistan was convicted of providing material support and money to a designated foreign terrorist organization. According to the Department of Justice, he also procured bomb-making materials in the interest of perpetrating a terrorist attack on American soil. (August 2015)
-An immigrant from Albania, who applied for and received Lawful Permanent Resident status, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for giving over $1,000 to terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, and for attempting to join a radical jihadist insurgent group in Pakistan. (August 2015)
-An immigrant from Egypt, who subsequently was granted U.S. citizenship, was charged with providing, and conspiring to provide, material support to ISIS, for aiding and abetting a New York college student in receiving terrorist training from ISIS, and conspiring to receive such training. (August 2015)
-An immigrant from India, who applied for and received Lawful Permanent Resident status by virtue of his marriage to an American citizen, was indicted in federal court on charges of conspiring to provide thousands of dollars to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in order to assist them in their global jihad, and on one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud. (November 2015)
Last December, U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), Congressmen Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Lamar Smith (R-TX) released the following letter to the Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell:
“Dear Secretary Burwell:
It has come to our attention that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has failed to submit an annual report to Congress regarding the activities of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), in violation of federal law. Section 413(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended, requires the Secretary of HHS to submit an annual report to Congress ‘no later than the January 31 following the end of each fiscal year[.]’
The FY2014 report - which was due no later than January 31 of this year - is still outstanding, and must be produced immediately.
In its FY2016 ‘Justification of Estimates for Appropriations Committees,’ HHS requested over $1.6 billion for ORR. This request illustrates the exponential growth in ORR’s budget in recent years. Indeed, as recently as FY2012, ORR received $768,334,000 in funding - or less than half of what it currently seeks.
Our nation is presented with serious economic and security threats emanating from our refugee resettlement programs. Congress cannot, and must not, issue a blank check to ORR, especially at a time when the Administration is actively in defiance of federal law.
We look forward to the immediate submission of ORR’s FY2014 Annual Report to Congress.
ORR is the office in charge of handing out welfare to refugees. ORR is currently attempting to double its budget in FY2016 without submitting legally required reports to Congress on what they’ve been up to over there.
The letter comes just a few weeks after Sen. Sessions released another statement warning that the president’s “American SAFE Act” is a dangerous refugee plan and that the proposals being considered fail to protect the American people because the bottom line is “there is simply no way to vet Syrian refugees.”
Why anyone would believe any different at this point is just silly. Look at how badly the government failed at “vetting” the so-called moderate Syrian rebels it spent hundreds of millions of dollars arming and training so they could go where? That’s right, to join ISIS.
And the same thing could happen here according to Sessions:
Moreover, when the Administration was asked if Syrian refugees could end up coming to the United States and joining ISIS like Minnesota’s Somali refugees, the answer was blunt: ‘we can’t predict the future.’
They know what’s up.
Meanwhile Obama announced he was just “touched” by Americans writing to open their homes to refugees.
I read and re-read several times, for me it still isn’t a definitive answer of NBC. I think Sen. Cruz is great and wish we had 100 more politicians just like him. Imagine what we could get done. Would we be sitting here debating citizenship if it was Jeb or Trump who was born in Canada? And would we still feel so strongly about our opinions?
lock and load baby
Yup, vote Trump and pass the amno.
