Official: Some Clinton emails 'too damaging' to release
www.foxnews.com ^ | January 29, 2016 | By Catherine Herridge

EXCLUSIVE: The intelligence community has now deemed some of Hillary Clinton’s emails “too damaging" to national security to release under any circumstances, according to a U.S. government official close to the ongoing review. A second source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, backed up the finding.

The decision to withhold the documents in full, and not provide even a partial release with redactions, further undercuts claims by the State Department and the Clinton campaign that none of the intelligence in the emails was classified when it hit Clinton's personal server.

Fox News is told the emails include intelligence from "special access programs," or SAP, which is considered beyond “Top Secret.” A Jan. 14 letter, first reported by Fox News, from intelligence community Inspector General Charles McCullough III notified senior intelligence and foreign relations committee leaders that "several dozen emails containing classified information” were determined to be “at the CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, AND TOP SECRET/SAP levels."

The State Department is trying to finish its review and public release of thousands of Clinton emails, as the Democratic presidential primary contests get underway in early February.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, there is an exemption that allows for highly sensitive, and in this case classified, material to be withheld in full -- which means nothing would be released in these cases, not even heavily redacted versions, which has been standard practice with the 1,340 such emails made public so far by the State Department.

Can Obama pardon someone who’s not been convicted before he leaves? I thought pardons were for people convicted of a crime? Thanks

I’m not sure that Snowden has hers.

I’m also not sure what value blacked out communications offer.

Some issues are so sensitive that even the topic shouldn’t be made public.

She should already be in jail. I worked under contract with duties that included administrating multiple computer data bases and systems with secret and top secret information contained in their operation and stored on disc drives and removable hard drives. On weekends or at any time when nobody with clearance was on site the systems were to be shut down, all discs, platters, removable hard drives were required to be spun down and placed into large standing safes and vaults. This had to be logged and witnessed and if you got that wrong you could land up in jail. This is required for all sites and systems which handle classified material. Our building was continually and randomly tested by government agencies to be sure no computer radio frequency data could be detected from outside the perimeter of the classified clearance area which required 2 badges and authorization to even be in the area. Clinton’s servers and the companies that handled them without clearance should all be in jail, under severe and complete investigation, and held accountable. This is all madness for this to go unpunished and swept under the rug. Nuts!!!

Ford pardoned Nixon, though he hadn’t been CONVICTED of anything. It has and can be done.

Catherine Herridge reported this, so it’s all likely true.

She’s not your typical FoxNews bimbette.

The thing I like about her (beside the fact that she is so pretty) is that she has true courage.

What are they talking about? Every country with any decent intelligence service has had these emails for years.

Does anybody with any brains (naturally, I am excluding Democrat voters here) think they weren't popping champagne corks years ago when they discovered Hillary was using an unsecured server? Likely they knew it in the first 24 hours and they couldn't believe their eyes! We probably only know the tip of the iceberg of what she and her treasonous minions compromised.

This hag has compromised some of our most sensitive secrets to our enemies. She needs to be in jail at the very least - not running for President.

White House now saying some emails too sensitive to release, Hillary saying no so, release them. Geeesh, you would think they were from Obama.

Great tune. Cheech and Chong reference, but those lyrics fit perfectly.

It’s a Randy Newman song. Looks like quite a few people recorded it!
