Today the editors of Rupert Murdochâs Wall Street Journal slammed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump for his opposition to the publicationâs long-standing support for open border trade and immigration policies.
The Wall Street Journal, like Murdoch, is decidedly open borders. In 1984, the WSJ editorial board wrote, âIf Washington still wants to âdo somethingâ about immigration, we propose a five-word constitutional amendment: There shall be open borders
The WSJ editors suggest that they would much prefer Trump work with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56% and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)44% than Jeff Sessions. The editors write that if Trump were to âwork closely with Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell,â he could perhaps âcraft a reform agenda to revive the economy à la Reagan. His tax reform outline is close enough to sensible that Mr. Ryan could knock it into shape. He would not want to be a âloserâ office,â the editors explain.
Sessions, unlike many Washington politicians, has proven that he is not afraid to strike back at the publication favored by many in the Republican Partyâs donor-class. In a letter to the editors last year, Sessions wrote: âAmerica is a country, not a spreadsheet. A country puts the needs of its own citizens first.â
Interestingly, in not one of the Republican debates thus far has Marco Rubio been asked about his longstanding support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which has been endorsed by Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul behind Fox and the Wall Street Journal.
When asked why he thought this to be the case, Sessions said, âI think their owners, their corporate gurus that dominate the network and stations, are internationalists. Theyâre globalists and theyâve bought into this. They just have.â

Murdoch “Immigration Reform Can’t Wait” (2014)
Trump’s going to take you down Murdock. Enjoy losing. :-)
Murdock gunning for Trump. The open borders mogul can’t stand the President Trump will secure America’s borders. Secure the borders, secure the nation, halt the foreign invasion.
TTTT
Truth will out!
He is absolutely correct, they are New World Order globalists. Combined with their belief that they are an elite who have a divine mandate (from the god of this world) to rule the lives of the rest of us, they are setting a trap in which they themselves are going to be caught.
I noticed Fox News website headline states “Vets tell trump to keep his money” don’t drag them into the political ring.
Really? I am sure there are some vets that support other candidates that may feel that way, but I cant imagine a Vet charity group would turn money away. Seems like Fox is trying to gin up opposition to his little fund raiser...
LOL, that's gonna leave a mark.
That’s just what we need- advice from an Aussie foreigner on our immigration policy.
Can’t think of his name but that guy running that Vet group is a Democrat who cavorts with MSNBC Maddow, Crazy Bill Maher, Huffington Post, and alike. It’s on his Wiki page. It’s no wonder why a DemBot would.
Who would have thought that we would eventually have to kill have the country just to get a border secured.
Born Under a Bad Sign...
Cruz has been working with Sessions longer than Trump, including when they blocked the Gang of Amnesty bill.
Jeff Sessions is awesome. And Rupert Murdoch makes clear why he and his network are on such an anti-Trump crusade. The globalist and open-borders brigade hate Trump. Me Again Kelly is the attack dog.
Yo, Murdoch - it IS a bad sign - for you.
Sessions WILL be Trumps VP!!!
