Cruz Should Launch An Independent Bid For President
Vannity | 1-25-2016 | Vannity

Scenario: Cruz fails to win IA, NH or SC, Trump rolls, Bernie Sanders wins all 3 cementing a path to nomination and Bloomberg announces his own Independent run.

Under those conditions, Cruz should announce his own Independent run within the same hour that Bloomberg announces.

Cruz is not so stupid as to run independently.

At worst, this is Cruz’s 1976.

Then, there was 1980.

Could you imagine the adverts Trump could make about Bloomie’s “small soda and no salt for you” policy.

Cruz supporters are as delusional as Glen Beck and Levin. Those two must be rubbing off on you.

....big, big, difference....America wasn’t 19 trillion dollars in debt. Electing another crony capitalist like Trump will only grow that debt.

Sounds like one of those “Consistent Conservatives” we’ve heard about.

I believe he did sign a pledge to support the nominee of the Party. Trump was the only initial holdout and he finally came around.

Bad idea. Conservatives can’t win a fractured vote.

A conservative independent would make a deomonrat win a walk in the park.

There is no room for sore losers in the pubbie “party” that almost isn’t a party at all right now.

No, Cruz should win the nomination and then the general election.

A third party with Cruz on the ticket hands the White House to Sanders.

It’s simple math, people.

I personally heard Mr. Trump expound at some length on this student loan issue in a speech.

He explained the unholy alliance between the feds, its loan program and the institutions of higher learning who keep raising tuition fees and keep paying enormous salaries to academians because the government is essentially making it possible for them to do so throught the student loan program....which is too involved to go into in depth here.

I do recall Cruz raising his hand during the first Fox News debate that he would support the Republican Nominee no matter who it was.

So this would be Cruz “forgetting” once again (like his Canadian duel citizenship and loans from Goldman Sachs he did not disclose FEC) that he said he would support the Republican nominee.

Only if he wants to elect Hillary.

I like Cruz, but if he cannot rally enough conservatives to win the Republican nomination then he cannot possibly rally enough conservatives to win a third party campaign.

Also, in a three way race if no one wins a majority of the Electoral College then it goes to the House to decide. The House is not limited to picking among the top three candidates. Do you think there are enough Conservatives in the House to pick Cruz over a RINO to be named later?

What a moronic idea.

I'm glad that Cruz himself is smart enough to go nowhere near that kind of thinking.

Half the fun on FR these days is watching the melt down of the Cruz idol worshipers.

It depends on what you think Job #1 is.

I believe Job #1 is defeating the Uniparty.

Cruz does that best.

Trump will do in a pinch.

Some people would rather insure a Socialist gets into the WH instead of chancing it by canning their pride and voting for the winner.

You insure our collapse even further by this strategy.
