WATERLOO: At Second Event With Glenn Beck, Ted Cruz Drops Oath of Office
breitbart.com ^ | January 23

On Saturday Sen. Ted Cruz, at an Iowa event with his newest high-profile endorser, media personality Glenn Beck, dropped an awkward routine from the first event of the day, at which Beck had given Cruz a mock "presidential oath of office."

When Cruz joined Beck on stage, after Beck spoke for nearly an hour to a room of more than a thousand supporters here on Saturday night, Beck opted to to give Cruz the presidential "oath of office" as they had done earlier in the day on the other side of Iowa, just outside Des Moines.

The exchange in Ankeny between the two of them-when Beck first officially endorsed Cruz for president-was awkward and sent Cruz for a loop such that the Texas senator actually flubbed the presidential oath of office. The oath is spelled out very clearly in the U.S. Constitution, which Cruz has spent his life defending.

Flubbing what may end up being the most important part of the U.S. Constitution for him if he wins in 2016 may not be a campaign-ender, but the mistake was certainly embarrassing.

Since the shtick didn't work in Ankeny, it appears, Cruz and Beck dropped the act in Waterloo later in the day.

Has Beck EVER picked a winner? I believe he was for Mitt and McCain. Don’t know about W.

WATERLOO is such a perfect name for a “big” “Surging Ted” “rally” of about 1000 stunned fans who refuse to recognize the truth about Goldman’s candidate.

Ouch.

Beck would vote for Hillary over Trump?

I tried to cut the guy some slack, but what a wacko-bird!

Oath of Office at Waterloo.

So Beck.

“I solemnly swear to never listen to a Trump supporter. I solemnly swear to vote for Hillary instead of Trump, to never look for others for any answers!”

Beck is a froot-loop, so what does that say about Cruz’s judgement? Desperation play....

I like Ted and will vote for either him and/or Trump if either gets the nomination. I won’t badmouth Ted, either. But I do agree - I’d be embarrassed myself, too. I think I’d also question Glenn Beck’s involvement in all this.

Yes, flubbed it so badly they had to do it over in seclusion immediately afterwards.

This was done TWICE??

Seriously, Cruz?

Hmmmm. So some might see a beck endorsement of cruz like some see the palin endorsement of trump? Although, I think beck, these days, may be more of an albatross. But, like I said before, if an endorsement by this person or that person is what it takes to sway a voter, maybe some re-thinkin’ is in order. Maybe I’ll wait to see what Uncle Si has to say. LOL!

I too like both Cruz and Trump because of my surge to antiestablishmentarianism since being stabbed in the back over and over again. At one time I also liked Beck for the news he would give on his show. Then it all started to slide downhill to the final straw of the Teddy bears and soccer balls. Telling me that I must do that or think like this and I’d had enough. Cancelled the subscription and have not used Roku since.

When I saw that Ted was globing on with this drama queen and self righteous blowhard, with Waterloo, I just shook my head about Ted’s judgement on both counts. Maybe this might be Beck’s Waterloo in the sense of Napoleon B. Geez, what a disappointment.
